Kamen Rider Agito: Episode 34
Shouichi eats a salad while Deep Breath plays in the distance! Ryou is suffering but taking one for the team Hikawa is told why he is so awesome by the enemy and doesn't even know it! ALSO BURNING FORM! |

Also this should be the appropriate time to hit up a new transformation and then follow it up immediately with Project G4 which has some of the best moments of awesome from the cast other than Hikawa's finest moment coming up soon. |
Wow, didn't mean to put off watching Kamen Rider for this long but has it really been... (looks at post history) 3 MONTHS!!! Holy crap!
I'm back to watching Agito and after watching episode 17 I finally understand why my friend told me that being Gills is suffering. Dude just can't catch a break. |
Gills takes on the suffering of others.
that's the only explanation for why his entire existence could be so much suffering. |
Well a few days ago I finished Fourze and man that was the quickest I've ever watched a Toku show. Finished it in like less than a week. Guess that means it kept my interest better than some of the other shows. I really liked Fourze as a show and now I sorta want to get the switches. The characters had a pretty good relationships and the Zodiarts. I LOVED those designs.
Now something that's never happened to me before is almost crying during a Toku show. The Cosmic States episodes almost made me cry, no other show has made me get close to that. So now I guess I end to find a new show, I've been debating between Blade and OOO. |

you see the episode where he and Agito save a pregnant lady? one of Hikawa's best moments in that episode! |
Well. i'm starting to watch Kamen Rider Kabuto now.
|
So I've been debating, for when I go watch another Rider show, what series should I pick between Blade and OOO.

Watched a lot more of Kamen RAAAAAIIIIIIIder V3 (#DoktorG) since last posting. Up to around episode 29 now, where five Shocker Generals have just been resurrected.
This show is utterly fantastic. It has the right balance of one-shot episodes and multi-parters, the characters are great and the monsters memorable. One thing that stuck out to me is the Rider Scouts since this is my first proper experience of them. I'm not really sure how I feel about them - on the one hand it's one of the best elements of child actor participation I've seen in a Rider show, but on the other it does sometimes feel like V3 is raising his own little child army (especially when they start holding summer camps for them :lol) |

I just started watching Ryuki. It seems interesting.

I'm helping! :thumb: Quote:
If I remember correctly, you should be getting really close to Baron Fang; he's not around for long, but he oversees some of the best episodes of the entire show. Quote:

I just watched the Accel movie, which I'd missed somehow despite being a total mark for W. The story wasn't bad, and I think Accel carried the story pretty well, but HOLY CRAP the shaky cam. I seldom have trouble with that kind of thing (beyond just finding it annoying), but I was getting seasick trying to watch it. I was glad it wasn't constant, but it was frequent enough to get really old really fast. The worst part is that it obscured some really nice fight choreography.
Still, if you like W, I'd recommend it. Just take some Dramamine first. |
Really? I don't remember the shaky cam being so bad. I really suffer from motion sickness from time to time, but I've seen the Accel movie twice and was fine both times.

Watching through Kuuga and am partially annoyed that there is a clip show episode in this series, if if wanted to relieve the great moments I would watch back the previous episodes.
Thankfully I don't think there would be more, I can't even imagine the0er being multiple clip shows in one season. |
The sense I got from the clip shows is that Kuuga is a show thats really heavy on its story so I always got the vibe that the creators included the clip shows after the major arcs so kids wouldnt get confused. Especially if they hadnt watched every episode.
|
That seems like a reasonable explanation for why there is a clip show makes sense when you are watching week by week and you could miss an episode.
I guess this is one of the differences of having all the episodes available makes a clip-show seem redundant but for the time it makes sense. |
also, it being the first Kamen Rider for a new generation, a clip show can add an extra week for stuntwork and special effects, so you can look at it as a necessary evil.
|
And looking at how Rider was at the time with 10 years off the air and Black and RX very heavy on filler (extremely enjoyable filler) they were probably unsure how well the audience would receive Kuugas heavy emphasis of story over filler.
Dont know though how Sentai at that time handled the Filler/Story ratio since I have yet to see anything before Gao and after Mega. |

Also not familiar with Sentai as much either so I can't say whether or not that was like either. Now this makes me wonder if there were more clip shows. |
If I remember correctly there is one clip show after the first arc and one right before the last arc starts.
|
I see so expect more clips shows then.
Well given the fair reasoning behind then having more clip shows aren't that bad. |
I checked again and it is indeed two clip show episodes.
The first is episode 17 and the second one is episode 31. |
Once again thanks for that, at least they did not go gundam seed levels of clip shows with this so that is a good thing.
|
They pretty much placed them before a new storyarc starts to get you up to speed.
|
That was a smart placement then, ending an arc on a clip show and then starting the next episode with the new arcs.
I guess that means there is something cool happening in the next few episodes  |
Something REALLY cool is going to happen :D
|
did you get to the thing with porcupine?
Kuuga's best moment right there. |
Porcupine Grongi shows up during the third arc so he hasnt gotten that far yet.

Kuuga was great, might start rewatching it seeing as Midnight Crew just released v3s (softsubbed, and better video quality) of the first 12 episodes. But that will wait until I'm through with W. Been going through this at a slower-than usual pace for me, because I've been back in work for a month, but really digging this. Yesterday I watched the Movie Wars crossover with Decade (which is going to be weird whenever I actually sit down to watch Decade, having seen the "end" of it now) and "Begins night", so next is episode 15 & 16 (having the strict couplets like it does, makes it easy to watch, actually). Love the look of W as a suit, but when Decade splits W into Riders Cyclone and Joker, they look awesome in one colour. Kamen Rider Joker's suit is cool as hell, as is Skull, even with the hat. |
Dont worry about the Decade thing. The "Ending" in Movie Wars pretty much has nothing to do with the show :lol
|
I just started KR Blade this evening. About to watch episode 2.
