But those episodes only really "Work" by understanding and enjoying the characters beyond the basic interpretations provided.

Yeah, as much as I love Discord as both a concept and a character (Keep Calm and Flutter On not withstanding) I will admit that he's not enough to make someone a fan. Especially considering that the Return of Harmony isn't exactly a stand alone episode and has it's strongest effect if you've seen the entirety (or at least most) of the first season already. It's a great episode, but not a great introduction to the series.

A little sad to hear that you didn't like it but at least you gave it a chance... unlike some people I'm forced to live with.

Just realised some thing does cantalot have magical Windows of stain glass cause in the Crystal empire episode at the end the all ready had a stain glass of spike help save the city made so are the magical

my head canon is that those glass windows tell the future or something along those lines.

There's an entire race of ponies whose bodies are made of crystal.
I'm sure there are some glass makers who could work really quickly :p

This fandom is rather odd at times.

When I first joined, and swapped my favorite from Dash to Rarity, everyone quizzed me as to how Rarity was even likable.
