If Toei is trying to be dark in this series, from what I see so far, the costumes and using dolls to transform is hard to take seriously.

At the moment I see this as a adult action comedy series.

And that sums up exactly why I don't care about Akibaranger anymore. I'll proabably still give it a try on the off chance it's good, but I'm not looking forward to it.

I think seeing the Yellow ranger in a freaking cat suit amongst other silly ideas kinda nullifies any idea of this being a dark series.

Yeah, I guess it's because the misconception of "adult themed" automatically says dark to people these days. I definitely see this as a more raunchy comedy style than gritty dark style.

Yeah, garo is amazing, but its not the sole definition of adult.
