I doubt akibaranger is the reason. We've known these were coming since Tamashi Nations last year.

We saw the Dekarangers and Boukenger team long before Akibaranger aired too.

Akibaranger will probably do at least one episode parodying the whole "extra ranger" thing and Dragon Ranger/Burai and Geki's rivalry is pretty much the quint-essential extra ranger story. It fits too perfectly for it to be a coincidence, especially if Japan isn't getting these two until slightly later, which just so happens to fit in with Akibarangers schedule.

There might not be any extra weapons, even if that is the case. I'm just saying it's a possibility.

I don't think for a second that these are coming out because of Akibaranger.

But I did start to think myself - especially after the American release packaging was revealed - how they would be sold in Japan. And I wouldn't be surprised if it weren't with an Akibaranger accessory. Every Sentai release last year unrelated to Go-Busters had one after all, right?

It would explain why Green is going to be released first…I thought that part in of it self was a bit odd.

Since I am collecting every red ranger from now on, these two will be mine. The only question is whether I want to wait for the japanese version or not.

If they are Akiba related, unless the Akiba accessory is the Howling Cannon, there isn't much incentive for me to wait.

God I hope they come with Akiba parts. I'll have to skip the neutered Bluefin release if they do but oh well. Man the mere speculation of these having Akibaranger parts has me more excited than anything else now :lol

Wouldn't they show something like that in the preview photos?
