It's not him being a dick because he likes to. Wes became a ranger to spite his wealthy father. Eric became a ranger to prove his worth.

You're trying to treat the situation in an extremely one dimensional manner by just taking his most obvious character trait (His abrasiveness) and only presenting it, not making mention of anything else he's done (Such as being completely willing to attempt to duplicate the Quantum Ranger powers so all the Silver Guardians could become rangers).
Because his personality only had the one dimension. He didn't try and close his powers out of the goodness of his heart, so don't give me that line. He did everything, from tying his shoes to becoming Quantam, to one up Wes in Wes' Father's eyes and screw him over in the process. "Look Look! I'm a Silver Guardian and a Power Ranger! Look Look! I have a Zord now! Love MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE".

Meanwhile Merrick, once he got over moping after becoming human again, was completely selfless. A true Knight of Anamarium. He just deserves this over Quantam.

I think I finally see where you're taking this to far, Prime.

I'm not saying he isn't the color red. His custume is very Red. But he isn't a Red Ranger in the sense of Time Force Red, or Mystic Force Red, or Wild Force Red.

He's not Red in the sense of not being a Red Ranger like those others. He's a Sixth Ranger, in fact even in the original Timeranger series he was called Time Fire. His suit just happens to be that shade of color.

Besides, admit it, this is basically a contest now of who loses to Tommy in the Final.

Tommy can "Go Green Ranger Go" himself to overratedness.

I went with Merrick because he was losing. I do not prefer one over the other, since I have not watched any of their respective series.

I'm not entirely positive. If Tommy can get paired up to a juggernaut like Trent (If he doesn't get screwed by the pairings for this round), Doggie, or Eric (Face it, you may hate him, but lots of others like him), he might be knocked out during the quarter finals.

Hell, going on a strict power vs. power, skill vs. skill basis, Mike is actually better than Tommy.

Very good point. Tommy might be the most well known ranger, but there's actually a few rangers who are a bit more powerful. Mike, Eric, Doggie, and even Ryan could probably beat him.

I'd vote for Trent over Tommy. And Mike, for that matter. I love Tommy but Mike is.. Mike.

And yes, I do hate him :lol So much.
