Actually, I think X had some of the best kaijins of the early Showa era. Both the mythology monsters and the historic villain monsters had really cool designs and the generals- Apollo Geist and King Dark - were both fantastic.

X is a sadly underrated series. :(

He can't emote, Badland. It's physically impossible for him to show any emotion what-so-ever. I think that's why they made Nitou so flamboyant, to give a counterpoint to his blank stare.

Just because he's not crazy over-the-top like Gentaro doesn't mean he isn't capable of emotions. Haruto is a much more subtle and reserved character - just in the last episode he explained that inside he's freaking out, but he forces himself to stay calm because he needs to have his shit together to save the day.

I still think he's the best Rider we've had in a long time. Wizard as a show has a lot of problems, but Haruto is the one part that just totally works.
