Not at all. Kikaider is it's own thing entirely separate from the Metal Heroes franchise. VR Troopers is based on a combination of the Metal Heroes Metalder, Spielban, & Shaider footage.

though It not part of the metal men Kikiaider did inspire Metalder a little bit

So quick question witch one are you getting the anime or the live show because the anime is awesome but i have been unable to to find the live show

I have never heard of Kikaider till now, but I want that SIC. It just screams Tetsuo and cyberpunk.

It's tokusatsu Pinocchio. The 02 books were fun and Kikaider was the first to get the S.I.C treatment. Also, you can get the original manga in English from comixology along with Kamen Rider and Inazuman.
