Jetman is great. It directly precedes Zyuranger. I think it's pretty essential viewing for a Toku fan -- even if it's just to understand why everyone talks about it in such rarefied tones.

Otherwise, I do think you're on the right track going forward from Zyuranger. Have fun!

Jetman is great, I love Jetman, but it doesn't live up to the hype as these things rarely do which is why I rarely bring that one up in recommendation threads.

At this point watching Jetman can go one of two ways, one it's hyped to such fantastical proportions that even the good aspects of Jetman fall flat on their face or two you're so drowned in the general consensus of the show that it becomes impossible to separate those views out from your own to ever really have your own emotional response to the show.

Both of which are going to lead to a pretty terrible experience.

That's a good point. I can't find it, though I only dedicated about five minutes to looking for it.

You know, I just had this funny thought: Since Zyuranger is basically exactly at the half-way point in the current sentai universe, it would be pretty funny to go all the way forward AND all the way back at the same time. Watch Dairanger and Jetman at the same time, then Fiveman and Kakuranger, etc.

In all seriousness, I'll probably check it out. I keep hearing really good things about it.

KRDL.org is a good resource for finding what has been subbed and what hasn't been.

Even if you prefer to torrent, they have lists of every series that's available with subs.

KRDL is what I try and use for everything, direct downloads are so fast but for some reason when I try and torrent I'm still here a decade later looking at the numbers one and the symbol for percent.

KRDL does not have things like CarRanger though.

KRDL lacks Hurricanger, too. Of course, the subs I have are awful so maybe that's why.

You are probably thinking of the Hong Kong subs. HaroRangers has subbed the first 3 episodes to Hurricanger so far.

Yeah, that could be. I have no idea where they came from, I just yanked them down off YouTube. If they're Hong Kong subs they're better than the Hong Kong subs on my bootleg Fourze discs, but still pretty awful. It's entertaining when Shurikenger is speaking English and the subtitles are completely different. :lol
