The robot army was from the final third of Goseiger, although if they did mash them together I could see them making the Zangyack an extension of the Warstar or something.

Outside of SPD the Disney era stuff was pretty painful for me to watch.

You know what, I'll give it a shot. I thought Goseiger itself was incredibly boring and Samurai almost painfully bad, but I'll be open-minded and see what happens when footage from one combines with the production team from the other. Worst case scenario is just I dislike and stop watching.

Well shit. :( No Gokaiger, then. But wasn't there news about Toei reshooting the Legend War for Power Rangers? If so, that would have led credence to the theory that Gokaiger would have been adapted. But since Goseiger is being adapted instead...Saban's got a LOT of work to keep the angel stuff out.

This really sucks, because I think Gokaiger would have been the way to go, since it is an anniversary season in every sense of the term, not to mention that Power Rangers has their 20th anniversary next year. So unless they plan on using everything Goseiger first, then just using the monsters, Zords, morphers, and story from Gokaiger next, this won't end well.

I agree. Just because it's based on a Sentai series, doesn't mean it has to be an EXACT copy of that Sentai series, only with American footage. Hell, the first three seasons of Power Rangers had very few connections story-wise to Zyuranger, Dairanger, and Kakuranger. Megaranger was video game-themed (though with space-themed Megazords), whereas In Space was, well, space-themed in general. Gingaman must have been a pain in the ass to translate into Lost Galaxy as well, since Gingaman was Earth-themed while Lost Galaxy was another space adventure like the season before it. If you're going to adapt a Sentai series, don't make it a carbon copy like with Samurai/Super Samurai; give it a few free liberties here and there.
