Me too, I think it's a superior approach. Allows you to enjoy the characters on adventures in the movie, but keeps things separate in case things go wrong (which has a higher chance because they usually have a different production team).

But I want the movie to be cannon. Otherwise I feel like I've wasted a viewing experience. If it isn't cannon it doesn't matter to the characters or story. For me that makes it pointless. Like the Kiva, Faiz, Blade, etc movies. They mean nothing to me when they're out of continuity with the series. Whereas the last couple years of Movie Wars have been superb ever since the basically cannonical Megamax.

Shows like Ryuki, Den-O, and Decade have movies that don't jive with the show entirely. But for reasons. Ryuki being the whole Rider War reset aspect, Den-O's involving time travel meaning the future and past can change independent of one another, and Decade because Decade. These make more sense to me than a movie that's just an alternate take on the show just because.

Well according to Tokusatsu network translations the return of Yuuya and Hase takes Kouta and Mai by surprise, so...maybe it is in continuoty and weird shit is going on due to the events in the movie.

Im hoping theres a crossing of dimensions with one where Yuuya survived and became gaim, since he had the belt first, so it could be a new arms on a repainted gaim outfit.

I know most of the suits are based off 3 base forms, but would be nice to see one really close to gaim, yet not.

I was taking OOO as an early Neo Heisei hiccup, though. I liked the idea that the films were going to be more integrated into the series, especially after W did it so wonderfully.

He's due to pop up in the late summer movie, unless they pull a swerve and do a special like Wizard did at the end.

Personally find the Kurokage leader to be pretty stupid. He's got a slightly different naginata and an inexplicable Energy Pinecone Lockseed (seriously? that gets an Energy version.) Just doesn't interest me at all.

The other three... maybe. The foremost pink silhouette probably is just Gaim Jinba Melon. But the blue is definitely something new based on the helmet, although the armor does resemble the original Melon Arms somewhat. The green guy's silhouette has a crazy helmet and I definitely want to know what's up with him.

Yuuya and Hase returning, even if from an alternate universe, does interest me, particularly given the Kouto and Mai may at least be from the main universe. That'll be fun to see play out.

In my opinion, it seems that if this movie is in continuity with the show then that might explain why this movie premier,s date is in late july.
That maybe some (if not all) elements of this movie might appear later in the show.

The movie itself is a debut to many elements that will perfectly fit in the show.
Peco (as Kurokage Shin) might betray Team Baron and join Yggdrasil then that will explain why is he attacking his teammates. If not he might be mind-controlled by the main antagonist of the movie and then after freed from it, he would keep the driver and the Matsubokkori Energy Lockseed and then using it in the show. Also the purple silhouette seems like Gaim in a Jimber Ams. As the only Jimber Arms still to debut in the show is Jimber Melon Arms, so this movie would be a perfect time for his debut.

For the two new armored riders, They might be the leader of other Beat Rider Teams (with my highest bet being Sonomura from Red Hot). Also, if so they might keep their drivers and use them later in the show. Otherwise they might be new characters. In that case if they manage to survive the movie ( due to the commin trend in the heisei era of non-evil movie exclusive riders dying during the movie they might also appear later in the show.

Lastly, Hase and Yuuya might have been resurrected by some unknown means. Like the main antagonist of the movie, that mysterious man named Lapis, Yggdrasil, or even a mysterious Lockseed.

My guesses are based on the show having a run of 48 to 52 episodes.
Though these could change if the rumoured 33 episodes run of Gaimdue to the World Cup is true.

Only time will tell.
