Guys, Pacific Rim is an awesome movie. It hits you smack in the face with big-ass robots fighting big-ass kaiju as soon as the movie starts, and it never stops. It's what movies like Transformers and Godzilla 2014 should have been - screw plot and human characters, here's giant robots fighting giant monsters, and they're looking awesome as they do it.

I'm excited, but apprehensive. Del Toro tends to announce things that never get made. I very much hope this gets follow through.

The studio green lit the movie and said it was happening like 6 months ago. This is just him saying he'll be involved and that's happening. So I think we're safe on this one. It isn't Hellboy 3 by any means. hopefully he doesn't try and pull a hobbit though and back out on production :lol
