That price is nuts, even if it is for a 'veteran zord'. :P What Bandai should do with this though is make it so the inside can kind of shift around in the event they ever decided to do a Legacy Ninja and/or Shogun Megazord in the future. Yes, possibly too much planning ahead for something that might not ever happen, but better than releasing a re-tooled toy in the future for the same price and forcing collectors to have to buy a second version just to do Season 3 combinations.

True, but you can't combine the original with the Legacy versions of the Dragonzord and Megazord because the chest piece won't work and really the Ultrazord is the main pull of Titanus.
I'm definitely skipping this because I think the price is ludicrous, but I don't hold it against anyone that does buy it. I bet a lot of people think some of my collector purchases are wastes of money/rip-offs but to me they're worthwhile and I don't regret them, so I can understand someone who is in the same position for Titanus. I just really do think that BOA are testing how far they can push Power Ranger collectors. |
I think it looks nice. Not $200 nice, but still nice.
The problem is that I've never really wanted a Titanus for the figure itself. I was only ever interested for the Ultrazord combo. However, the Ultrazord isn't something I plan on using very often, as I prefer the Dragonzord as is. My main confusion is over where the price comes from. Unless the chassis is solid metal, where does the additional hundred dollars come into play? |

No amount of die-cast, rubber or a motor (if it has one) would make this guy worth so much more then RRP of some of Hasbro's Collector-orientated offerings like $100 more then Generations Metroplex or $50-140 more then the Hasbro Transformer Masterpiece imports. It just comes of as insanely greedy. I would love to complete the Zyuranger mecha, but I'm not going to spend $200 on the glorified chariot for the final combo, I'm just going to be happy with the other two Legacy Mechs. I just can't get over the stickers though. $200 and covered in stickers? Really hoping their just in the promo pics. |

That's the 2010 Mix & Morph Titanus, not the original figure. It's the figure the 2010 and by mold reuse the Legacy is meant to worth with, the Dragonzord however was designed years later. So it's more happenstance than anything. And the chest piece just sits there. |
