The Gekiranger suits will always hold a soft spot in my heart for being the first Sentai I watched and enjoyed (I tried Magiranger and Boukenger before, and didn't really enjoy either).
That, and their designs are so different, so simple. I like that.

It isn't really the lack of a belt so much as the odd shape of the helmet and the weird fist/gloves. I LOVE Geki Violet's costume though. That design is a thing of brilliance.

You're joking right? I know we all see the inherent racism of the original series color choices but I'm pretty sure that's long over with and we're over it. Or did you think that Overdrive Black Ranger was African American because the show runners then were also racist?

Ah. I've pointed out the lack of a belt many times to some people and that's usually where they realize why they find it so weird.
Other than the "Nyan" mouths, I don't really find anything odd in the helmets. But considering Sun Vulcan helmets have a bronze eagle/shark/panther jutting out from them, I probably don't know what normal is :lol

You're on a site discussing an almost-20-year-old children's TV show. "Normal" died violently once we ALL signed up AT THE LATEST.

Maybe it's just me but their helmets look tall, like too tall. The lack of a belt is a tiny bit jarring but not terrible. The suits look awesome and streamlined, like what I imagine a good example of a modern sentai costume should look like. But those helmets look so feral and out of place when compared to the rest of the suit. Again the only one that I feel the whole package works for on those costumes is Violet. He's got the right mix of everything going on.

I think its a photoshop job anyway guys, given the Quantum Ranger is missing from it so there's only 19 rangers there.

Okay, I admit some of them looked funky in animal form before they burned it away and became zords/mechs.

Only White Rhino. Especailly his Henshin device, what does a giant hand have to do with a Rhino? And the helmet was just.. meh. Geki Violet was the gem of that series. And RJ was the gem of Jungle Fury. Bring him back for Pr's 20th!

... Uh? The original series wasn't racist. I doubt it was a concious decision to make her the Yellow Ranger, or him Black Ranger. They didn't sit around a board room going "You know what'd be really racist?"

Woo, an ally! :thumb: The only thing I didn't like about the Lightspeed Rescue suits, was the Henshin/Morph. When that shield came down over them like liquid? I don't know why but it always bothered me. Otherwise I loved them. Especailly Titanium Ranger.
