I can see them testing this before going forward with it. Having an extra Ranger with pink and another color.
Then again, Toei has shifted Super Sentai incredibly in to the "This is 100% a kids program" category. The heads there may deem a male pink as something too controversial to put in children's programming. |
My answer is no.

I guess it would be fine if it were a comedy centered season to introduce the possibility.
I mean, Dairanger hinted that a male could be Hououranger, but it's been so long since then. |
No... I don't see the point or need of a male Pink Ranger. I can't imagine such a character being treated like anything more than a joke for the entire time they were there.
If the entire series was a comedy... maybe... but then I want the sixth Ranger to have a plaid uniform with a kilt and a bagpipe for a weapon. |
Normally I'd be all about equality in color choice but I think Power Rangers needs MORE female characters, not less.

That was never the question. The matter of jokes we were talking about was that it was a bad thing that they are using the color associated with women. And thats something ToQ never did because they dont have to treat their audience like that. |
If Sentai does a male pink, then absolutely adapt it to be a male. Do I want to see them try to turn a female pink into a male pink? Absolutely not. The fact that they turned Boi into a girl for MMPR is kind of stupid, and it would be even stupider if they did it in reverse.
Would I like to see it though? Sure. They just need to make sure the suit is designed well. We have been conditioned to see pink as a girly color for so long now, making it easy for it to still look feminine. Do I see it ever happening? No, not really. |
Sure!
