I would absolutely love for there to be a female Rider in this series! A good form her to have would be Joan of Arc.

And I think the design is great personally. I'm one of those guys who likes it when Riders share identical design elements, like in Kabuto or Ryuki, so I don't mind him looking similar to Ghost. I think the fact that we're seeing Specter so early is a sure sign that we'll probably get a third and maybe even fourth Rider in the show, especially when you consider that even Drive had four Riders, and the secondary didn't show up until the teens.

I think Ghost should have 5 riders.

1. Ghost
2. Specter

For a third, they can add a "Ghostbuster" rider.

Fourth, a female.

Fifth, an evil rider influenced by evil historical figures like Genghis Khan, Napoleon, Attila the Hun, Rasputin, Ramses, Hitler, etc.

I'm with you. Shows like Ryuki and Gaim that share a lot of common elements between Riders are among my favorites.

Also, Drive's gonna have way more than 4 when you take the MP Machs into account. Add one more if you wanna count Ghost. But yeah, I'm definitely hoping for at least 4 riders.

I'll go a step further: a female Rider not in pink.

Heck, I just got my heart broken a little by re-watching the Decade Ryuki two-parter, in which Kamen Rider Femme never appears on-screen because she's murdered in the opening minutes.

...at least we got a truly horrible name for a female Rider out of the way.

I introduced a friend to Rider stuff recently. He almost immediately asked about female Riders. I felt terrible having to explain that despite all the other virtues of toku, the genre... hasn't historically done a great job representing empowered women.

Don't really get why this is a legitimate concern when there's only been ONE pink suited female Rider (who was arguably also one of the better ones), but okay.

I'm not sure why "not in Pink" would have to be specified. Although unfortunately female Riders, as you mention, have not been very common at all, what few we've gotten don't conform to the girl=pink thing--even the predecessor to the female Riders, Tackle, was red. Marika is really the first female pink Rider. (Though she's also the most recent, and the first one to have a significant presence in a Rider show, so who knows if that's indicative of potential future Riders...)


I agree that a female Rider in this show would be great. It would also be great if some of the historical figures for the Eyecons were female, and--and, if a potential female Rider didn't only get to use female historical figures, and if male Riders used the ghosts of women. That would be the best case scenario really, imo.

Eh, that's just my personal gripe: the pink rubbed me the wrong way. But I'm also impatient for a female Red in Sentai.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to October(?) so we can learn more about Specter. The design says "rival or villain" to me.
