Who's defending it?

Can I say I am surprised, I really am. I thought this would be much more one-sided towards people who were turned off by the price.

Yeah, but I don't see Bandai making Dairen-Oh in the SOC series, so this argument is kind of moot.

Saying that the SOCs are worth the price only means something if they were doing the exact same toy.

That's not how that works at all.

I don't have a compulsive need to have everything. My funds are finite and spent on only things that are a good value. It doesn't matter if BOJ is doing the same mecha or whatever, the point is value for your dollar.

It's not worth $200. It doesn't matter if it was the only toy on the market period. It's not a $200 toy.

I know. It's weird. Maybe we aren't giving BoA enough credit...

Although, most of the "yes I'll buy it" votes aren't from members it seems.

I will be since it seems they're actually doing a really good job with it and the fact its not hampered by zord builder and can still pull off the separate red dragon robot.

I kind of see your point. If the Thunder Megazord meant a lot to me and I could afford it, I can see how it is worth it. Worth and value is kind of subjective.

On the other hand, another person might value it based on the prices of SoC's. It really just depends on what criteria people use for value.

I need to actually see the final product before I plunk down $200

I can easily see where a $200 price can come from in something like this, but that is the point where I REALLY need to think about it. It's not throw away money at that point.

I want to see it in person first, before buying it, but Red Dragon looks solid and if it is as good as it seems, will solidify me buying it.
