Boost getting its own Damashii changes raised an eyebrow at first, but I see why they did it; What's the point of a different undersuit in the GC line if said undersuit has no other Damashii it can wear canonically? They must have learned from AC Jimber and Kachidoki Arms. Quote:

I didn't mean it looks uninteresting, but that it looks like a rehash of Robin Hood. Goemon's just looks uncreative in general. Similar to Specter to say something more specific (Specter's looks really cool though). |
Well, the Sunglasslasher reminds me of that Go-Busters sunglasses power up thingy. And it looks cool, in a dumb, goofy way.
Necrom's device looks kinda cool, but pretty thick to be a wrist thing. Or maybe I'm just looking at it wrong. Houdini combining Spectre and the Machine Hoodie is awesome. Or pretty much every level. Boost Ghost... eh. Let me watch more of normal Ghost first and I'll tell you how I feel about this guy. |
Wow. Ghost just continues to impress. Tokon Boost looks amazing, and the the Sunglasslasher having a slot for two Eyecons is brilliant. I also love that the weapon is sunglasses to go along with the Boost form being bright like the sun or fire. That attention to detail slays me. I don't know if I like Boost having 2 of its own great Eyecons, but the Eyecons and parkas themselves look awesome.
Specter Houdini Damashii is a great idea that doesn't look that great in toy form. Love the chain design and Machine Houdi being water themed makes sense now. It will look better on tv, but the DX just looks too cluttered for my tastes. Looking forward to a review on that. I'm also curious to see what the parka ghost looks like away from Specter's body considering it's part motorcycle. Bummed out that we don't see Necrom here, but I expected this to happen. Still weird to me that they show off his gear, but not the rider. What I do like is that he is my favorite color green, and he appears to have a single horn like Ghost. Interesting. That attention to detail is back in the way the Eyecons are loaded into the brace. Face up so the dropper can release into the pupil. That's just smart. The fact that the assumed antagonist uses a eye dropper based device is brilliant in its own right. Not a fan of his Eyecons appearing to have the same face logo, and the lack of black on them takes away from them a little for me. With names like Grimm and Sanzo, those face logos could've been really cool, but we didn't get that here. I get the black not being there though. Keeps Necrom different, and story wise could be explained by the eye drops washing away the darkness or something. Overall, Ghost is getting highmarks in the toy and design aspect. Hoping the show itself lives up to this standard. I forgot about Himiko! Gotta love the pink eyecon. It looks like it belongs to Ghost so there goes our female rider hopes, but still a cool looking eyecon. |

Boost actually has 3 Eyecons, though; Himiko is his as well. Anyway, weird thing about Necrom Eyecons: so they do all have the same face, but the design surrounding the face is different. Sanzo's looks like fire, Necrom's is mostly smooth, Grimm is...something. It's still not ideal, but slightly better than just having all three look the same. |

Both the Sunglasslasher and the Megaloader (it's just easier to spell :p) seem pretty unwieldy to me.
I guess this explains why Grimm and Sanzo are sparkly and different than the others; they're Necrom's. Honestly with the 15 separated among three Riders now, I'm not so sure Takeru's 99 days will be up by the third quarter, actually. It could go from "eyeball hunt" to "Rider wars" pretty easily. Not to mention, maybe he gets some of his eyes stolen by the other two between now and then. Also, anyone figured out what the Goemon and Himiko mask designs are supposed to be? |

I don't think anyone can really tell with Himiko, hers being the only Eyecon without a good quality scan right now. |
