Sorry we don't all have a super secret middleman to make getting exclusives easy like you do.

We do, however, all have every right to express our opinions on preferences for releases.

Well sorry, some of us don’t have Bluefin to import shit for us (Like with the new SHMA), some of us need to pay for the middleman fees every time and some of us simply don’t want to pay 70+ bucks for a Rider Figuart.

If you have the money to spare and don’t care that’s nice for you and all, but some of us don’t. I can afford regular releases, but Web-Exclusives I need to manage. It also doesn’t help that the middleman I know of want at least some sort of payment upfront and the Web Exclusives come out of nowhere most of the time.

It's certainly different enough that the idea of Bandai doing swappable parts is a pretty ridiculous notion. You're either going to have so many additional pieces that it makes more sense to do a 2-pack or individual release, or snap on armour that completely ruins the seamless look of the figure.

Sure, but it's a risky game. If the figure is popular the price goes through the roof. Melon Energy is all I'm gonna say.

And even if you find them, they're still usually around the price middleman want because the people running Mandarake and Jungle aren’t idiots. If the item is really common or not popular you might get it for cheap, but that’s not a game I want to play.

And Shinkochu Seihou are already kinda hard to find. Web Exclusives of that line are a completely new factor.

What super Secret? I pay middleman fees just like everyone else. We maintain a list of middleman services on this very site. It's no problem at all to peruse through them and pick out one such service. And you can express whatever opinion you want. However this constant argument that exclusives are next to impossible to get is a fallacy. There are a number of services available to anyone who wishes to use them like Nippon Yassan, Toku Taku, Rider Proxy, and others. And Mandarake for secondary market sales of exclusives which can be extremely beneficial in some cases when figures dip below their retail price. I just feel like there are so many options that the difference between retail & exclusive is kind of moot point.

Bluefin doesn't import every exclusive and retail release. I go through all the normal channels for many of my figures just like most everyone. I occasionally order retail releases for myself through Bluefin because I manage my own business. But many of the things I collect like currently running Kamen Riders, Metal Heroes, a majority of everything I collect, is not imported by them.

But here me out and let me break it down so I sound less like an ass. On the one hand you pay for a regular retail release like the first SS Mighty Kuuga which was 5400 yen retail before shipping & possibly import fees depending on country, I do know that's a factor. Now look at Ultimate Kuuga. You jump to paying 6480 yen, which is a less than $10 USD change in price. Yes you'd pay some fees, many middleman luckily charge flat fees for such a thing. Although I'm aware just as many don't. But SAL shipping is an option to save as well. I'm not denying exclusives cost more, but relatively speaking it really isn't that much more is it? It's enough to offset their production as limited run releases which seems fair in my eyes.

My point exactly. The avenues exist to obtain these figures. In one form or another they are available to those who wish to find them.
