Simply that this thing offers nothing in the way of value that justifies it's bloated price. You may as well buy an original if you're willing to pay $60-80 for this thing. And based on pricing if the Legacy Ninja Megazord tops out between $80-100 I'd probably recommend someone go vintage with it too. If there's not going to be a qualitative difference between the 2 other than some negligible features, I just don't see the point of the Legacy even existing. Quote:

$60 bucks was not breaking the bank for me. as far as not being compatible with other zords, that's not really a problem for me neither as i only intend on getting the white tigerzord and trying to pick up a dragon zord eventually. the rest aren't anything i really want to get all crazy about. i had all the orginals back in the day, however as i got older i got money hungry and decided to sell all of them off. |
You made it sound like the Legacy one is tiny compared to the original, looks about to be the same size to me

But the original is not compatible with the upcoming Legacy Ninjazord and, presumably, Shogunzord. So, why are we even advising that? Because it's cheaper? That's not the point of owning a Legacy item. For me, I'm not buying Legacy figures because they're cheaper than the originals. It's because they are far suited to my tastes. While the Legacy Falconzord may not be an overt improvement from the original, I'm still going to buy it in order to complete upcoming Legacy Megazords. |
Well if you're buying it specifically because you want something compatible with the forthcoming zords than of course you'd pick this over the original. That goes without saying.
But Den-O's point was that looking at this solely in comparison to the original, the differences are minimal and ultimately the piece isn't worth the $60 price tag (as a UKer, I don't even need to look at it to know it won't be worth the £60 one). Compatibility with future zords isn't taken isn't what's being discussed here. |

I guess I fail to see the logic in comparing the Legacy to the original in a "superior or inferior" type of thing. Are they both not worthless on their own? The original has some lights for it - which is neat in its own regard - but again, on its own it's just as worthless as the Legacy version.
The only difference in the two is the absence of electronics, the addition of diecast metal to the feet, the added wing articulation, and some more premium paint on the Legacy version. Remove the pricetag when comparing the two and the question is pretty simple - do you want one to work with the Legacy Ninja Megazord and Shogun Megazord, or one to work with the originals? There is no "superior" version ... they both suck on their own and are made specifically to work with another toy. |

And there actually are not electronics in the original. The Falconzord was gutted for it's US release. Only the original DX Tsubasamaru from Kakuranger had electronics. The US release cut those for costs. The battery compartment is still there though it's screwed shut. And there's no wiring in the figure. |
The original had elecronics? never knew that and I always had one. and I always thought it looked like it should/could...unless they were stripped out for the american release?
