I was going to save final judgement until later but whatever; the costumes alone without any context look horrid and clunky.
As much as we mock how the mid 90s MMPR movie costumes would get torn around the groin area during filming, I say that the level of detailing was probably adequate compared to these cause this is too much.
Aside from Jason's head you can hardly tell if the other four are the respectable animal motifs they claim to be cause they all look like mutant stingrays.
I think they should have hired the folks who worked on the S.I.C figures, Ando and Takeya, cause as much as they like to detail stuff up themselves they got a decent barometer on how far you can deviate from the source material.
Bottom line; excessive details need to be taken out and need to be slimmed down.

The uniforms should be like the Captain America uniform.

I don't get it, everybody says that the red ranger's helmet is the only one you can discern. Does nobody look? Pink is very obvious as well. And if you zoom in you can see the details on black's and blue's. Quit being lazy guys and actually look, not glance.

I realized I should've explained my position better. Of course you're allowed to not like it. My argument was more for those people who don't like solely because it isn't five people in spandex and looks 1:1 with the original.

We are looking, but look at them all as a whole.
Would you notice that the Black Ranger has tusks on his helmet? Or that the blue ranger has triceratops horns? Of course not, because they're design cues shared by everyone. They're just mildly modified, but because it doesn't expressly standout on first look, it's hard to even realize they're there.
The Red Ranger's tyrannosaurus motif and the Pink Ranger's Pterodactyl beak are obvious because they're front and center and far more different than, say, the Mammoth "Trunk" on the black ranger.

I noticed the trunk right away. Blue wasn't that easy, I'll admit that. And the angle given on yellow makes it hard to see anything other than the eyes on top of the helmet. Maybe I'm just the person that says "oh cool, let's have a good look" and analyzes upon first sight, maybe I'm that stickler.... Although the thought of me being a stickler about anything is rather odd.

I'm not saying the mammoth's trunk isn't obvious, I'm just saying it's not as obvious as the pterodactyl beak.
Meanwhile, you gotta squint and zoom to find the mammoth tusks, see the difference in the triceratops' side extension to realize the horns, and I can't even find a notable feature about the yellow ranger.

The features are all there, but to a fan just looking at the still image for about 10 seconds and only having red and pink pop in terms of detail isn't that good, especially when, in the film, they'll be in constant motion.

These just do not sit right with me. At all.

Maybe the Pink Ranger's helmet somewhat resembles her motif, but the other three, though distinct from each other, still look like they are wearing mutant stingrays on their heads.
I don't know if I can call what the Yellow Ranger has on her helmet a Saber-toothed tiger to be frank.
