Then why bother? If you aren't going for the whole team, it's worthless. That's like saying you are going to buy X-Men toys, but only buy Cyclops and Nightcrawler while ignoring Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, Phoenix, and Banshee.

Most children aren't collectors. They don't have $100 for a full team, so they pick who they want.

Most people just want decent display pieces of their favorite characters and don't feel a compulsion to buy the whole team just for a complete set. To use your example as long they have a Cyclops and Nightcrawler on the shelf they're happy.

Because some people actually know what restraint is and how to effectively spend their money? Not everyone wants to be a completist.

These aren't for kids though.

But whatever, I think it's down right stupid. Hell, this is why they should just sell the entire team in one pack.

Kain, while the items are made with the adult collector in mind, keep in mind that the demographic for the show the products are based off of are CHILDREN. A parent shopping for their child would still pick up these as soon as they see the words "Power Rangers." These aren't collectors' statues, these are still possible action figures/cool toy weapons. Using the argument "these aren't for kids" is naive.

And even then, you gotta remember there are multitudes of collectors with many different mindsets. I categorize 3 different ones:

The Completist- The ones- that you seem to be aiming to please- that will buy the complete team.

The Selective- The ones that will buy their favorite characters, and may go for the full team IF they feel a need to.

And The Reseller- One who collects not for the fun of collecting but for future investments.

Bandai, being a toy company, created these in mind for said 3 categories, but also maintained the idea of children wanting them too. They are toys after all man.

Tell that to the kids who buy them.

Much like Generations in Transformers, just because something is collector focused doesn't mean it excludes kids, just like how kids focused doesn't exclude collectors. Netflix is a thing. Even young kids have the ability to learn about old series. And even if they didn't, all they see is a cool action figure.

I honestly think it is.

Kain is very much a "if I don't get my way I'll pout" type guy. Rather than possibly accept alternative reasoning, he just refuses whatever doesn't fit his mindset. he cna't simply dislike something because he dislikes it, it has to be fundamentally wrong, likely because he bases most of his likes on what he percieves as facts, and must legitimize all his opinions with what he thinks is irefutable evience, lest he be challenged on said opinion.

So is Bandai not going to bother fixing the silver belts on the MMPR crew?

I'm definitely a part of this group. There's only three PR teams I would consider completing. MMPR and Lightspeed Rescue because I love both series, and maybe the new movie Rangers if their version of the Megazord looks good.

That said, the silver belts and limited production of the wave 2 figures might be enough for me to be able to say no to the MMPR team. I also get the feeling that the line will be dead before they can get to Lightspeed Rescue.
Sadly no, and by the sounds of it the second wave of figures is a one and done deal, so if you want them, get them as soon as you can.
