So, I think our Sento (Build) is Takumi Katsuragi with Taro Satou's face who had his mind wiped by Faust. The dead body is Taro Satou with Katsuragi's face.
The cafe owner is Blood Stalk. He created Faust alongside Katsuragi, maybe for a good cause (or at least not all-out war), but things went downhill after Night Rogue took over. The "Faust doesn't belong to you!"-quote from Blood Stalk might be telling us something. It's a bit convoluted but I wouldn't put it beyond this show to pull it off. |

sometimes I feel like the only person that likes the simple vinyl figures. The SH stuff is so popular and prevalent.
..though I do have SH Agito Burning on the way, because it looks incredible. but surprised I don't seem to see much collecting of the vinyl figures talked about online. |
Okay so first of all, I think from here on out I'm just not going to bother with a picture for episodes that don't give me my weekly fix of bike action.
Second, this episode was great. All the gradual work the show did to grow Ryuuga up to this point payed off spectacularly. My only complaint is that the episode is maybe let a little down by Build's format of never-ending cliffhangers? Like once Ryuuga actually transforms we just kind of get a quick fight, a very brief emotional moment they deliberately undercut with a joke*, an internal reveal with Sawa, and suddenly you're watching the preview. I'm not particularly bothered by any of that, but I don't know, part of me wishes this already very strong episode were even stronger. Oh, and that whole "Blood Stalk has a built-in voice changer" bit was pretty slick, huh? First the face thing and now this. At this point anyone could be anyone and I'd buy it. :lol *A joke that is itself slightly underdeveloped? Sento's reaction suggests he wrote that letter, which definitely sounds like something he'd do and is a great gag, but Ryuuga asks "where he found it" instead of saying something more straightforward like "This isn't Kasumi's handwriting". It's all a bit odd is what I'm saying. |

Kuuga? cliffhangers Agito? cliffhangers Amazons? cliffhangers W? cliffhangers ..and what little I saw and remember of OOO's...cliffhanger I just started to assume that's how Heisei Rider shows are, not episodic like the Showa ones but more about 'the big drama/to be continued' way of doing things. |

Build has had that in a couple places but overall it mostly just refuses to stop for even a second. I can't stress enough how this ISN'T a bad thing, and I mean I haven't felt the need to complain up until now, but the pacing at the end of this episode just didn't feel quite right to me. |
ahh yeah I see what you mean.
W did have closure (of a sort) every two episodes,..Kuuga also. It stopped to catch it's breath. If I recall correctly the very first episode of Build was incredibly fast paced, almost unbearably so. Maybe that's just how this series is,..sort of frantic and full steam ahead. I know sometimes the cuts and editing are really fast too. Especially when Misora goes into 'Idol Mode'. |
