Eh... I find this idea that "good people don't want to do bad things/Only bad people want to do bad things on ANY level" to be really... off-putting.

It's kind of in the same category of people who seem to think that if they want something, it MUST be a good thing that is good for them, screw what anyone else says.

It doesn't matter if he was in his right mind, he did something that is unacceptable. If this was "Aoki shot a guy in self defence" then he'd still get arrested but there's a layer of sympathy. But no. He groped a woman's breasts and grabbed her with such force she got hurt. We aren't 'bullying' someone for this, he did a terrible thing and he deserves what he has coming to him. You can't compare this to someone who has enough constraint.

You're acting like that excuses any of it. He should have known to drink less, could have had someone hang out with him to keep him in check or ask for a taxi or some shit. What he did was terrible and again, no excuse. Because this isn't an excuse, it's a pitiful attempt which is the equivalent to "WELL YOU AREN'T A WRITER HOW DARE YOU SAY SWORD ART ONLINE IS BADLY WRITTEN" in this situation

Alcohol’s funny like that, often times you have no idea that you’re drinking more than you should. If you’re not capable of making that split decision to stop and keep stopped before you get too drunk, you will keep getting yourself drunker and drunker. It can get away from you very quickly.

All the drunkenness does is lessen his culpability for the offense. That’s it. It doesn’t absolve him.
