Years ago, he was fired by TVAsahi. He was rough with the staff and managers. He was apparently known for his bad attitude, excessive abuse of power, thinks of himself as a super celebrity even after Hibiki, and does stuff like contract talks must be done on grand hotels or demands bringing lawyers and threatening to sue the company for warning him on his bad behavior.

Yeah, as a huge Hibiki fan it really sucked to learn that the actor is such a douchebag.

Unfortunately, he wasn't only main Kamen Rider actor who is a scumbag.

In 2013, it was revealed that Shunsuke Takasugi (Known as Super-1) had bilked 50 million yen (about US $450,000) from his fans. He used the influence of his role as Kazuya Oki/Kamen Rider Super-1 to cheat his fans and refused to return them all the money. For example, one of excuses he came up with is that "Super-1's henshin belt was taken by the Yakuza (gangsters) and I need money to get it back." From 2003 to 2012, he bilked 5 people who were big fans of Super-1. Even as he was sued, he refused to appear in court.

Takasugi is currently being missing since January 2017.
