Oof. Basically no shipments to the US? That's going to be a hit for a lot of importers. Hope they're able to get through this okay.

Not to try and find a personal silver lining, but man am I glad I threw together a decent-ish Jungle order last Saturday to ship out EMS. No idea when it'll actually arrive, but at least it'll get here at some point.

Super sorry for all of the fans and businesses impacted by this decision, though. I hope everyone stays safe!

There can be. Handlers that could be sick may touch your package. And if not disinfected it can stick around and spread to others on the chain from Japan to your door.

Well, it's not that they're delaying packages or suspending shipments because there's anything wrong with the packages, it's because they need to operate with smaller crews to protect against spreading the virus, and there's less flights going out of the country due to global lockdown orders. Japan Post is restricting shipments because there's less people to load the planes, and less planes to load. They'd rather cut off international shipments until things open back up than keep accepting packages that just pile up in a sorting station.

I have amazing timing. I had a SAL Mandarake order that shipped right before Japan suspended international SAL shipping. It has been returned by now. Then I had an EMS Mandarake order that shipped last week and has just kinda... sat around still in Japan, but now all EMS is suspended. That'll likely get returned. And then I put in for another order right before finding out about the EMS freeze. Hope they just straight up cancel that one...

Yeah, my buddy just barely had a Mandarake order leave via Air SP; that's definitely a big blow for US collectors, no doubt :/
