My learning moment personally was right at the start of the season, where each Ranger was getting their focus episodes... and Yellow's ended up being about Red.

From what I have heard; Kyoruger is the worst season of all. I have not seen it; I do not plan on seeing it and I hope that sentai either stops focusing on the red ranger or gets discontinued before it becomes a sad joke of a formerly great show

Of the ones I've watched LuPat just because it has a lot stuff that annoys the crap out of me such as Noel, mech designs, toy-line distribution, and the disappointment know as Zamigo Delma .

So. Okay, this has bewildered me from the moment I first saw it.

I understand not liking Noel. I'm not the biggest fan myself; he's kind of middling for me and I can certainly see why he'd slip into 'dislike' territory for a lot of fans, especially with Lupat's flaws in general. But I've never been sure on why exactly a lot of people actually think of him as one of if not THE worst Sentai character ever?

I really want to make clear that this isn't something I'm upset over; or think you guys are wrong on; or that you shouldn't have that opinion or that it's a judgement or anything like that. Nor is it something I'm owed an explanation on of course, but I'm just so confused that at this point I'm dying to know why a character that I was sort of meh on inspires such hatred

I won't lie, I'm slightly exagerating for comic effect. He *is* the worst ranger I've seen, but like, I don't "hate" hate him. Most of the time.

I suppose it's that he represents everything I dislike about LuPat as a show, wrapped up in a smug, obnoxious overcoat. He blatantly prefers the Lupins, what with his entire backstory being tied up in theirs, and yet acts surprised when the Pats do anything to indicate they don't trust him, despite the fact he spends all his time obviously palling with the enemy. He never tells them anything that might help their mission - even the ending has him going back to recruiting an entire team to break into a secure facility and free the Lupins, without tellign the Pats (who, I remind you, considered the Lupins as their friends by this point!) anything! Which is especially obnoxious given the Pats gave him the big friendship speech at the end of their arc.

His backstory is also pretty bad. Nothing happens to him for 30 episodes, until its revealed he's an alien. Which then goes nowhere. Raised by Lupin himself, supposedly, which again ties into nothing. Stealing an upgrade off Keiichirou (one that has the Patranger logo on it) and using it in his Lupin mode is just he icing on the cake, really.

Basically, if it was just his personality alone, yeah, he'd be irritating at best. But because the show's plot puts him in such a place that it emphasises all the flaws by him being there, watching him reminds me of why I had such a bad time watching the show.

Also, on a more positive note because writing that much mean stuff klls me, Kyoryuger is great and people calling it the "worst thing ever" can bite me. Great mech, great characters (I can give you a personality trait for all 10 Kyoryugers, which is more than I can do for the Ninningers), the best Sentai villains for basically the whole decade, and I legit don't understand where the backlash came from.
