He was almost captain marvelous. He got the role, but passed it for personal reasons. The cast always joke about his feminine behavior on set. While gaim was airing, he did a mini baking show and talk with the cast. He's the most different from his character. He might be closer in character to the doppleganger he played in gaim gaiden.

The Team Baron set was revealed today, featuring the Banana, Mango and Kurumi Lockseeds, plus the Matsubokkuri and Marron Energy Lockseeds. Also comes with faceplates for Baron, Knuckle and Black Baron.

I get why of course, but it's so strange to me to see them releasing Kurokage Shin's lockseed but not Kurokage's. And before the Genesis Driver is announced.

Well, Pico was a member of Team Baron, and even though he was only a movie Rider he still essentially counts. Kurokage himself, Hase, I don't know when they plan on releasing him, but I'm absolutely positive he'll get a release. And if you think about it, releasing the Matsubokuri Energy LS is fine at this time since the CSM Sengoku comes with the Genesis port which allows Jimber forms.
As for Knuckle never having a face plate, nope, never had one. He uses one of the Mass Produced Sengoku Driver that Ryouma made for the Kurokage Troopers.
