I think it is to reflect that it was changed, as Gorenger was originally produced and aired while he was using the name Ishimori.

Also worth noting that he added the Katakana character for "no" to his name, giving it a slightly different meaning than the Hiragana, which would be lost just by looking at Ishinomori in plain English.

Now that this is out hopefully this gets Shout Factory to start releasing more Sentai DVDs including more Pre-Zyu seasons
