Actually, in a genre that is filled with "ERUPTING THEEND PUNCH!", convoluted never ending stories, protagonists younger than a high school freshman, and etc, T&B really does something unique within anime, aiming for a more Western feel as opposed to the dredge of another Shonen.
That's where the praise comes from.

Still not understanding the Goseiger hate. At this point, I'm really starting to think it has less to do with the show and more do to with going with the crowd.

And "They chose it over Gokaiger for Megaforce" isn't a valid reason.

The thing with Goseiger is that the first 20 or so episodes are pretty dull. I can imagine a lot of people starting it and losing interest. Once Gosei Knight shows up it picks up a lot and the last half of the series is pretty good.

Boukenger? Really? I loved Boukenger. I mean it's slow in the middle but the begining and end were really great as was the Gekiranger crossover.

And where is all the Go-Onger hate coming from? Another series that I adored. As for Goseiger I have to say that I've seen far worse than it, Gobuster being the prime example and that damn show isn't even finished yet!

No, I made it up through Gosei Knight's debut. The last straw for me was the episode where Eri was all "I can't fight monsters right now, I need to bake this little boy a birthday cake!"

I also want to say that I don't get all the Gobusters hate, but honestly I can't. I like the show well enough myself, especially since Masato and J showed up, but I can't say I really enjoy it as much as, say, Gokaiger. The characters are pretty dull and the plot is absolutely glacial, but it does make up for those drawbacks with some of the best mech stuff I've ever seen in Sentai and an awesome villain in Enter.

And that's why I hate this series the most. The mechs are just awful. There seems to have been no real planning while designing these things. Parts are just tacked on all over the palce in the most haphazzard way just to say "we used all the parts!" I will admit that the Ace is a marvel. It really is one of th ebest stand alone mechs and toys I've handeled in a while from a sentai. But any of the additional stuff is a monumental let down design-wise :(

I only watched two episodes of goseiger and the only thing I hated was the jumping sound effect. Otherwise it was kind of blah.

Don't hate Go-Onger. I just didn't enjoy it as much as the other sentai's I've watched.

Aside from the mecha, there was very little I enjoyed about Boukenger. The best member of the team was the chief, and even he didn't really have much personality going. The idea of multiple sets of enemies was a good, but was horribly executed as none of them were really that interesting apart from the Questers (who were in it the least). The Gekiranger crossover was excellent, but I tend to lump that in with Gekiranger since it came out during their run.

I don't think I've come across a Sentai series yet that's flat out awful, but Boukenger ranks pretty high in my "great concepts, horrible execution" list.
