What makes no sense at all is Kid Shouma's age 18 years ago, not the fact that Hanto's mom was alive after being kidnapped by the elusive Wolf Granute. Like I said, if Shouma is now 19 years old (like the actor), then 18 years ago Kid Shouma was only 1 year old. From the flashback scenes it's obvious that Kid Shouma is not a 1 year old kid.

Here's the elaboration of the several possibilities:
- If Shouma is 19 years old in 2024, then 18 years ago he (Kid Shouma) was only 1 year old, which makes no sense at all since it contradicts his appearance like shown in the flashback scenes.
- If Shouma is 21 years old in 2024, then 18 years ago he (Kid Shouma) was only 3 year old, which also makes no sense at all since it contradicts his appearance like shown in the flashback scenes.
- If Shouma is 23 years old in 2024, then 18 years ago he (Kid Shouma) was only 5 year old, which also makes no sense at all since it contradicts his appearance like shown in the flashback scenes.
- If Shouma is 25 years old in 2024, then 18 years ago he (Kid Shouma) was 7 year old (as old as Kid Shouma's actor's age minus 3), which quite makes sense since it quite fits his appearance like shown in the flashback scenes.
- If Shouma is 28 years old in 2024, then 18 years ago he (Kid Shouma) was 10 year old (as old as Kid Shouma's actor's age), which makes perfect sense since it fits his appearance like shown in the flashback scenes.

Shouma doesn't necessarily need his Granute strength to get a job. Even without using his Granute strength, he could simply use the Gochizous to help him make his job easier. In my post in episode 5 thread here I already elaborated on several different jobs he can choose from, only by relying on all the natural abilities he has right now. No need to rely on Sachika at all.

If you say that Shouma can't get a job because he's socially awkward, then how was he able to initiate a friendly help to complete strangers like shown in episode 3 @ 06:14? I also think that Shouma should be socially awkward (or rather: 1000% socially dysfunctional) due to the abusive upbringing by Bouche, but please, please, please Gavv writers & producers, write it in a consistent manner. Don't flip-flop just to make certain plots/scenes happen. Flip-flopping between 2 completely opposite characterization just to make certain plots/scenes happen is peak cheap, lazy, heavy-handed writing. It only makes Shouma look like a person with bipolar personality disorder.

Whether Shouma is now 19, 21, 23, 25, or 28 years old, I already elaborated it in my previous post. I already elaborated which age is possible and which age is impossible. Like I said in my reply to Mesnick in 1st paragraph above:

But in the memories with kid Shouma there are no dates indicated. The only thing we can take as a starting point is that Hanto?s mother was kidnapped 18 years ago. If we accept that the Wolf Granute from the flashback is not Shouma, but another patient, and the flashback itself is a memory of the red Gavv, then Shouma does not have to age at all. This, by the way, is partly supported by the fact that the flashback about Hanto?s mother at the factory did not bring a headache, unlike the memory about her abduction.

You have no historical basis for this. As far as I can recall, Gotchard is the only season with a co-protagonist in place of an official heroine and so far it has been successful. I see no reason why that would change in the future.

Memories about Kid Shouma do have no date/timestamp, but the clothes worn by Hanto's mom when she was kidnapped by the elusive wolf Granute (like shown in Hanto's very first flashback scene in episode 2 from @ 21:12-21:29) and the clothes worn by Hanto's mom when she encountered Kid Shouma for the first time (like shown in Shouma's very first flashback scene that involved Hanto's mom in episode 20 from @ 12:13-12:36) are virtually identical, which means that those 2 events (the event when Hanto's mom was kidnapped by the elusive wolf Granute and the event when she encountered Kid Shouma for the first time) happened at a very close time range, if not at the same day. The question about how far the time gap between those 2 events (the event when Hanto's mom was kidnapped by the elusive wolf Granute and the event when she encountered Kid Shouma for the first time) would very likely be answered in episode 23 when a flashback scene would likely be shown where Lango ordered his factory workers to finally kill Hanto's mom (and likely other kidnapped humans as well) by drowning before processing her into Dark Snack spice, right in front of Kid Shouma's two eyes like I hypothesized in my post in episode 22 thread here.

I've hypothesized about the elusive Wolf Granute being Kid Shouma in berserk mode since my post in episode 6(!) thread here due to it having a red Gavv as well (albeit natural/unmodified), although in the same post I also mentioned the obvious weird fact that the elusive Wolf Granute had an adult-size body much much much bigger than Kid Shouma's body. Also, in my post in episode 3(!) thread here I did mention the possibility of the existence of another Granute who had a red Gavv like Shouma does, though not necessary a human-Granute hybrid. In the same post I also mentioned the possibility of the elusive Wolf Granute being a 100% normal/pure-blood Granute (not a human-Granute hybrid) but used the prototype/trial version of the red Gavv, and the final version is the one implanted by Dente into Shouma's body. The question about the real identity, whereabouts, and the fate of the elusive Wolf Granute who kidnapped Hanto's mom 18 years ago would also likely be answered in episode 23 or in the next episodes before 30.

Perhaps, but more likely are budgetary considerations and a reluctance to confuse young viewers. Again, even in high-budget blockbusters there are a lot of similar cases (especially in the last century), when, after impressive periods of time, children grew up, but adults did not change at all (and sometimes did not change clothes). Within the framework of KR, the closest example that I remember is the battle in the park in 2015 in Saber.
