This year has been a very big year for Toku in my life. Thanks to my friend, Den-O, I fell down that Mine's of Moria sized rabbit hole that is S.H. Figuarts and it doesn't look like I'm not gonna find my way out. Also, finally deciding to watch a Kamen Rider series after having very little interest in anything outside of the "Power Ranger original footage." If I hadn't done that I would have never have realized I loved monsters drinking coffee on a time-traveling train.

The Figuarts Addiction hit insanely hard this year I will totally agree lol...will have to do a count later tonight just because now...

Akibaranger. And finding this site... I spend way too much time here but it's all worth it!
And watching OOO. Because

Oh, Akibaranger, I forgot about that. For no good reason whatsoever I kinda stopped watching it after ep 4 or so, but I was really enjoying it. I need to go finish that one. No XCOM for me tonight.

WHAT?! How could you not finish that show yet! Akibaranger is easily one of the best modern tokus out there. If you like a brilliant fun story and laugh out loud comedy then it is THE show. Hands down.

I got busy with a James Bond retrospective, that I still haven't finished because I can't bring myself to watch Dia Another Day, because of how bad I've heard it is, plus I dislike Halle Berry.
Also, video games. I got Fall of Cybertron shortly after it came out, and on Black Friday XCOM, and I've only had one day when I've been home that I haven't played it for like 3 hours. I lurvs XCOM, it is awesome. I love being able to name the troops whatever I want, plus it makes me care about them, think they're real people not just cannon fodder to be murdered by aliens, so I play better with them.

But like i said, I'll have to watch a few episodes tonight.

Not really related to any toku show specifically, but the highlight of my year was joining up with Riders, Rangers, and Rambles (Now Herotaku) as a reporter. I've never had any major place in the toku community until I was given the chance be part of said site and I've made some great friends along the way.

However, if I had to pick a show-related moment, I'd say all of Steven Skyler's scenes as Antonio from Power Rangers Super Samurai in general. That man is golden.

He's a nice guy :). I was really happy to meet him

Seeing the return of Decade in movie form. Not just the souless 'Decade' Rider suit in the background, but proper Tsukasa Decade.

A lot of Akibaranger, and the reveal of Kyoryuger if that counts. Excited for samba-power dinotrain. :D The Fourze ending, and a lot of Beet J. Stag.

My favorite moment has to be wizard all of wizard its an awesome show. And thank you guys for having such an awesome toku news site. :-)

For Sentai it's between Gokaiger's last few episodes and Gobusters for still being good after the retooling where everyone thought it was gonna suck. For Kamen Rider it everything I've seen out of Wizard so far.

Watching the riders x sentai movie on google chat with a good friend during a night of college.

For me it was Go-Busters. It's not a secret I hated Goseiger and Gokaiger. I know it's not a popular series on these forums, but it just has massive appeal to me.

Now watch me win the box and it be full of Goseiger and Gokaiger merchandise :lol

That moment. When Samurai finished. I jumped for joy.

My favorite moment was ALL of Akibaranger! I seriously LOVED that show. I hope they come back and do a second season!

Favorite toku moment? Beet J Stag trying to net the mantis face on a playground jungle gym.

Favourite moment of the year non-figure wise is tough for me. I catch Samurai once in a while, but I don't really keep up with it, though it is pretty good (not nearly as good as my most recent favourite, Kamen Rider Dragon Knight!!!).

Overall though, it was cool to keep with the convention news that you guys posted about though especially with all the exciting new things on the way. Seeing all the KRDK S.H. Figuarts was really cool (though I don't think I could possibly get all of them, 13 figures plus their beasts? Yikes, the price hurts a bit too much), and not to be outdone by KR, the MMPR S.H. Figuarts Red Ranger. This may be considered sacrilege but I really don't care a whole lot about the Green Ranger (my brother and I were young when MMPR aired, and my fave was Jason, and his was Tommy, and of course we weren't allowed to like each other's favourite, so there's my reason!).

I remember when this site was brand new and announced on Toyark, and I'd check it once in a while and see all sorts of cool content that I don't usually keep up with, so that's a great moment in its own right. Keep up the good work guys!

Even though I've been busy with stuff on FanFiction.Net I always know that Tokunation is like my second home on the net. I must take the time to thank the staff here for getting this place up and running again.

The greatest Toku moment of 2012 was Gokai Red's final battle with Basco. Because Basco was too fast for him, Gokai Red impaled both of their feet together with his sword to pin down his enemy in a last-ditch effort to defeat him. To make this battle even better, Gokai Red only survived because of the kindness he had shown earlier to his enemy, Basco's partner in crime, Sally. Absolutely epic.

The best moment for me was having the person I care about get into Fourze and watching along.

My favorite moment from this year would have to be when we finally got to see Kamen Rider Wizard in action because I am a huge fan of magic. I love shows that involve magic, I got just as excited when I found out that Magiranger was going to be a magically themed Sentai.

Quite a lot has happened to me this year.I started watching full seasons of Kamen Rider shows including Fourze, W and OOO. Fourze's last moments were fun especially the last few episodes, My first time getting into Super Sentai with Gokaiger, instantly my favorite Sentai season because of the gimmick of transforming into past rangers, the finale that had a Zyuranger/MMPR tribute and a Gokai Change barrage against Ackdos-Gil, the helmetless roll call was epic too. The start of Go-Busters was good, the team-up episodes with Gavan type G were awesome, I almost forgot about Gokaiger vs Gavan, Beet and StagBuster's debut was awesome especially with the concept of a Buddyroid's parts transferring during the transformation. As part of the year that got me into Sentai, I witnessed: Shinkenger vs Go-Onger, Shinkenger; The Fateful War, Gekiranger vs Go-Onger, Boukenger vs Super Sentai, and one of my favorites Gokaiger vs Goseiger. Akibaranger doesn't need to be described on how cool and funny it was. Watched Kamen Rider W and OOO and Decade. The start of Wizard up to the current episodes was a must-watch experience because it had a different feel than Fourze. The Kamen Rider movies I got access to: Fourze x OOO Megamax, OOO x W Movie War Core, W x Decade which was a nice(if somewhat) wrap up to Decade's Story and a Prequel on W's story, All Riders vs Dai Shocker, OOO Den-O Let's Go Kamen Riders, Kamen Rider The First and The Next, W - Gaiamemories of Fate, OOO - Shogun and the 21 Core Medals. Super Hero Taisen, though it didn't do good to others it was still fun for me to see two beloved Tokusatsu shows in one movie. The first episode of Super Samurai gave me some hope for the season, Shogun Ranger outside the Megazord, Final Battle, Bulk and Skull's short reunion. This year was also the start of my Figuarts collection starting with Fourze, W and Ichigo(The First version), which I had my eye on for two years. And the final two milestones that will complete my year of Toku, the announcements of Kyoryuger and Power Rangers Megaforce!!!

I enjoy Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO Mega Max.The storyline is good! And having another rider in Fourze, Kamen Rider Nadeshiko is nice!!

my favorite moment of the year was the end episode of samurai. for two reasons. 1) the end of an absolutely mediocre series and paving the way for Megaforce. but more importantly 2)it really came together the last few episodes and was somewhat enjoyable.

First of all, a big thank you to you guys for doing this!
in all honesty, my biggest tokusatsu moment of 2012 was seeing all of Zyuranger subbed.
Seriously its my favorite sentai. They do so many things RIGHT. Characters were all well developed, the villians were actually threatening, and the biggest thing of all...... DRAGON CAESAR!

This was the year that I reay switched gears from being a transformers fan to toku fan. I've been marathoning all the ranger series and have started to branch out to super sentai.

My 2 big things would be the start of wizard and the end of samurai. Wizard because it's the first rider series I've seen and Samurai because it was the conclusion to a pretty terrible series. Although, I have to admit I enjoyed super samurai more than samurai.

My favorite moment would have to be the announcement of the diecast power morpher

I've been sitting back trying to think of my favorite moment from this past year and I couldn't come up with anything specific, but if I had to narrow it down it would have to be the introduction of Haruto and the entire Kamen Rider Wizard series thus far. I've had a lot of personal problems this year and being able to sit down and watch a show that revolves around protecting hope, something that I've come close to loosing myself this year, just speaks to me in a way that nothing else can. I truly feel like the way the stories and characters are developing can help show me a way to hold onto my own hope and keep me from giving in to despair.
Like I said its been a rough year for me and I know I don't post all that much but I am so glad that this site exists, it is a tremendous way to keep me distracted from my hardships and I just want to say thank you to all of the Mods and everyone else who keeps tokunation thriving.

My Favorite Toku Moment
 

Picking my favorite moments are like telling you who my favorite child is, I can't (Fun Fact: I don't have kids). But I will list three that stuck out in my mind.

1st there was Gokaiger, I loved every second of this show and early this year we got the finale. It had so much great action and an epic beat down on the Emperor, which I loved. Not to mention the great movie with Gavan.

2nd. Akibaranger- It was a great show and even though it was short it did everything so right and gave me so many laughs.

And 3rd. We were introduced to Kamen Rider Wizard. And while the story is moving a bit slow I am intrigued and the action Choreography is great, Seiji Takaiwa has got to be the best Suit Actor in the Business.

Ok I'm done. Hope everyone else has enjoyed Toku as much I as Have this year.

I have had a fun year with you all, lotta good people here, lotta good justice! I might not talk much with y'all, but I always have an open window for Tokunation on my phone. My favorite moments of this year was the Gokaiger vs Gavan movie. As for rider, I really enjoyed diving headlong into YouTube to learn more about them. I'm 28 episodes into Kuuga, and I'm loving it. Also I enjoy talking about figuarts with y'all as well.
