Those suits look akward. I can't think of any other word for it. It's not awful. There's a lot of good ideas, but all together it just looks...akward.



On the good size, that GabRevolver is awesome. I have a soft spot for sci-fi revolvers and that sure is a T-Rex revolver with nostril barrels. And it's yellow too, so it's Nerf...or nothing. I'm sure the samba music will ruin it, but until than that's awesome.

The Gaburevolver takes what Beet and Stag attempted with a changer and makes it better. Definitely always loved the idea of a gun changer. So seeing a cyber dino pistol that eats batteries? Yup, pants, I need new ones.

What they did was drop the stupid cell phone gimmick and make it just a gun morpher.

Yeap, that's my favorite part too.

First impressions:
1) I love the combined Kyoryujin. I love the proportions, with the high, strong shoulders, large feet and blocky shape. I simply love how uniform in shape the arms are, instead of merely being the Zord components with hands peeking out.

2) There's a certain sense of uniformity formed by the yellow stripes that go through the individual components. Gives it a cohesive look. The mecha overall looks stocky and strong and even somewhat reminiscent of pre-Gaoranger mecha.

3) The transformation actually looks like there's more than meets the eye. It looks deceptively simple, but I believe there's more going on than say, Gokaioh or Gosei Great.

4) The gimmicks are integrated rather well. I like how their mouths are both connectors and battery receptors.

5) It's confirmed, the Ranger suit design is great.

HOWEVER:
1) Not a fan of a 3-piece mecha where Red takes up most of the body. They executed it well here, but just not a huge fan of the concept.

2) Aside from Red, the individual components don't impress me much yet. For one thing, their colors are terribly loud, in a preschool toy sort of way. Again, this might be better with improved pictures, so I'm hopeful. I also hope those tiny legs in the individual mecha lock in place, wasn't a fan of Gaoranger's free moving beast legs in the GaoIcarus.

3) Not a big problem, but this is the first mecha without a sword since Gekiranger.

Overall, I'm rather impressed. It seems they've taken steps towards making a toy that is full-featured and interesting yet keeps a nice silhouette and shape.

The newly revealed photos are even more impressive. The mecha and suit designs grow more and more on me each time I see them.

i agree you on every thing here. what happens to the stego spiks?

I'm pretty much sold on this.I'm starting to like how it looks,especially since the higher definition pics came out.It still looks like it has a cape,which is always a plus for me.Also elbow joints? It looks like it in the better pics (especially so on the Stego arm)

I'm also keeping in mind the release of the second and third mechas,which there usually are 2 or 3 and they usually combine.That could be why the Kyoryujin has long looking arms and big feet.Could be a hint at something better.

I have faith in this series for the fact that the guys who did W are doing this,which means it could be better then it first looks.Quite honestly I have no qualms with the Rangers themselves,their suits and gear look awesome.And I do like the mecha,save the bright pink triceratops.The one time I would accept the pink rangers mech/zord being white with pink accents,and they finally say "Ok,we'll make it pink"*facepalm*

Also just found out if Zactor (Green) and Parasagan (Black) combine with Gabutyra (Red),it's called Kyoryujin Western.If you replace Stego with Ankydon,it's called Kyoryujin Macho.

It's amazing how much an opinion can change when viewing hi-res photos. I thought the suits were pretty good-looking before, but now they look downright amazing. :eek: The colors just pop wonderfully in hi-res, and I'm glad the yellow highlights are limited to the teeth of the Kyoryugers' helmets.

Now that you mention it, the pink really is the most garish color in the whole set-up. :D It reminds me of the American Shogun Megazord, which changed the White mecha to pink.

Gosh, go away for a night and all the good stuff suddenly appears :lol

While I think the suits look much better in these pics than the first few we got, I'm still not digging them particularly. Not in "I can't stand them" Gingaman way, but more a "I have no strong feelings eitherway" way. I'm glad to see the highlights are some sort of garish fluorescent yellow and the teeth still look epic, but other than that I'm not finding myself all that excited.

Mecha-wise I like the goofy T-Rex, but the other components are pretty lacklustre. The combination isn't interesting whatsoever, and limb-swapping gimmicks are something that have never really struck me as exciting. I'll probably get the minipla, but I can't this being the year I spring for DX toys.

The rest of it is pretty forgettable. I'm sick to death of gun swords already, and the bikes just look plain dumb. I'll hold out my judgement on the battery gimmick since this doesn't really tell us much.

Thank god this series has a great staff behind it, because nothing over than that has really wow'd me yet.

I love the gun mopher, the sword isn't bad but not great, still loving the Dinos (am I the only one who thinks the t-rex has a derp face?) also I yellow slash looks better than I thought it would. Batteries are now dinosaur food.

Now that I think about, the Kyoryuger suits are my favorite dinosaur-themed Sentai suits of the foreseeable future. But that's not really saying anything, since I abhor both the Zyuranger and Abaranger suits.

I love the Gaburevolver because it's morpher/gun/sword all in one! Two less toys to buy and the potential for a ton of features.

I still think the sword and the GunChanger are two different toys; they look way too different to be the same toy.

First gun bashed changer look to be done right, ah ya I might just buy that alone as it is. Second I've somehow come around on the mecha designs overnight Like a lot of people apparently. so ya looking forward to Kyoryuger now, also batteries powered by batteries is gonna be pretty funny toy wise.

So the gun is also the changer...kind of like Kamen Rider DiEnd. Interesting.

Oh I guess you are right. I could have sworn reading somewhere that they were the same device. That makes it less exciting, but still pretty fun though.

The gun & sword are separate weapons that combine together.

Oh wow. For once, I think something from Kyoryuger is better than something from Go-Busters. Ichigan Buster Special mode was okay, but this? That's just awesome.

Oh shit. The gun and sword combine in the same fashion as the motorcycles. Can't possibly pass on them now. That is ridiculously awesome.

Guys. I think the rumors of 25 dino mecha have to be true now. Jefusion posted some translations of the text from the new Gaburevolver/Gabrucalibur scans:

That takes us up to 15 already. And the show hasn't even started. It's no stretch of the imagination to see that we will be getting 25 dinos! So the rumors of 5 dinos per core ranger could be true as well, and now it looks like we reaaly will be getting 5 full robos this season!

If that's true then this is yet another deep rabbit hole...

Wait. If there's 25 dinosaurs, 5 for each of the 5 senshi, then that leaves none for the 6th... Unless Kyoryuger plans on breaking that trend too.

I'm not really feeling those mechs.

I'm pretty sure some of the numbered Batteries include the ones for the Bike and the Weapons, so possibly there's 25 Batteries, but not 25 Mechs.

If I get a Giant Dino Clusterfuck-Jin, then I will buy all of them.

The rumors were that there would be 25 and as we can see from the initial scans they start with 5 regular dinos, 1 per ranger. Plus one auxiliary in the from of the Ankylosaur. And the batteries for the bikes/weapons/everything are the same ones used for the mecha. There aren't specialized ones for the weapons. In fact you insert the same batteries into the Revolver that you would normally use with Gabutyra, Stegochi, and Tricera.

That would be downright insane. This may explain why the limb mecha are less complicated. Seems like a very Gaoranger approach.

Okay, I've warmed up to the weapons a bit more now that I can clearly see they are two different things. The pistol is neat, but the sword and combined forms are a bit meh. Not that I really buy role play toys anyway :lol

Hopefully this show will go down the Go-Onger route with the mecha, because if it does it very much has my interest even if these initial toys do little for me.

Ah. Those faceplates are interesting. They seem to not have eyes because of the way the mouthplate just floats there.

Not feeling this series, but I appreciate the angular/sharp contrast look.

I'm not sure I like the whole swapping arms concept, and leave the legs are they are (which is essentially nothing). I suppose that it is different than the way they did with Zyuranger and Abaranger, but so far I think I like the other two mechs better.

I like the combined form of the wepions, i hope not all 25 mecha combine together in cluster this time.

I actually hope they do cluster combine. I have to say that Im always pretty disappointed when there isnt a big combiner in the series. Its a big selling point for me with DX mecha when they do it.

I love the Gaburevolvor and the Kyroyuger suits. The suits have the dinosaur's mouths not extended all the way up the front of the helmet to make the eyes, I love the silver pieces that are supposed to be mouth plates, I even love the yellow sash and the fact the Kyroyugers don't have eyes.

This for me too. As they are it's a easy pass, at least in DX form. But if they somehow make a killer dino cluster ala ultimate Daibouken then everything will have to be brought.

Also gotta say I'm now super excited for the eventual figuart now I've seen the suits a bit more and the weapons. Also, the revolver and calibur are epic, will definitely have to track those down now...

And here I was yesterday thinking I'd be able to save my money =p
