And Goseiger is a godd show. Despite what the occasional haters, who've never watched the entire series, say. :)

Not that good.
It's adequate in that it tells a good story, but it's brought down by near shameless product shilling, stretches of episodes that do nothing (Not even establishing or growing characters), and groups of villains that, if you don't like, will leave you bored for 10-15 episodes at a time (Rather than let the villains grow and become more complex, making you enjoy them more as the series goes on. See Basco for a completely uninteresting and dull villain growing into the best villain in his show).

Haters gonna hate.

I think next time, I'll campaign for Rescue Force, so that everyone can understand my disappointment for it.

Rescue Force? You mean Lightspeed Rescue?

No... Tomica Hero Rescue Force is a completely different show not related to Kamen Rider or Super Sentai. It's made by the same people who did RyuKenDo, but don't watch it based on those merits, because you will be disappointed.

Ah. Though that does beg the question why RyuKenDo wasn't on this list. I think Kick's biased!

Only one person suggested Ryukendo too. We took all the options that people listed and then took the top 10 choices that had the most support for people to vote on. These choices had 10 or more people in support of each of them. So the options that had minimal support had to be dropped :(

Well, Jungle Fury was fast paced with a lot of action, had a pair of excellent baddies and a bevy of cool monsters, great costume design, and the martial arts theme was well executed. It even added nicely to the source material with stuff like the Spirit Rangers.

As such I am very interested in watching Gekiranger for LWW -- obviously a lot of the visually interesting stuff is going to port directly, as does the broad martial arts aspect. I just need to really work to finish Boukenger before we begin! (Hey, don't those two have a crossover movie?)

I just started Black up to ep. 3, and I already saw Geki this year (my favorite between the 11 sentai series I watched, by the way).
I guess I hold until February if it's Black, I really like the nightmare atmosphere in this one.

I watched some of Decade, it was really interesting and kept me interested. It also helped me decide what sereis I'm going to watch next (Blade).

Black is a great rider series that I have absolutely no problem watching again. Gekiranger likewise is a good sentai that I've got no problem watching again. I'd say it's going to be one of those 2 at this point. They have a commanding lead on the other options.

A question -- if Gekiranger wins (and at this point it is still in the lead), which subs are we going to use? I know of at least to subs of Gekiranger out there. Or can we each pick as we like?

Whichever group you want.

Options include Hikari Senshi or TV Nihon. Either would be fine but it all comes down to personal preference.

While I'm still hoping we get to watch Gekiranger, I think Black would be an interesting choice too. I had a friend years ago who kept raving about the awesomeness of Black, and he's also the coolest-looking Showa Rider, in my opinion.

Can't wait for this to get started!

I'm probably gonna give Hikari Senshi's subs a try (Since I used TV-N's Geki subs last time), and if I don't find them to my liking, I'll probably just switch back to TV-N.

I downloaded the TV-N version of Geki yesterday, so I'll be going with that version.

For anyone trying these subs out, keep in mind that Hikari Senshi's files includes two sets of subs. The default (at least on mine) translates everything down to the word "Geki" as "Wild" and "Rio" as "Leo." The other subs included leaves those things alone.

I find HS' second set of subs to be the best option for me as it still translates Jan's Tarzan-ish talk to an English equivalent, but leaves the proper names alone.

Hmm, I wonder... maybe we should not do a vote next time and "lock in" Kamen Rider Black as the series to watch after Gekiranger -- assuming that they finish 1-2 as they are currently placed.

We'll probably put it to a vote each time. Just so everything has a chance. But its clear the community has several top choices, other than Gekiranger in mind. So we will take that into account.

Are we starting this week, Den-O? We could start downloading the subs in the meantime.

So, how many episodes we watching per week? 3 like last time?

Sorry to keep bothering, but I was just wondering when we're starting. A few Wednesdays have gone by now, and I'm eager to start watching. :D
