Seriously, though, while I'm on the fence about the alien's design, that fact that it appears to be an actual puppet rig instead of a CG mess is quite promising.

I wonder if the Creature Shop is involved again. I wouldn't mind too much if the film evoked a Return of the Jedi feel. To be honest, I don't know if the Creature Shop is still a going concern or not though.

I'm enjoying it so far. It isn't anywhere near the greatest piece of literature written, but it is interesting to see what Lucas' original ideas entailed. There seems to be a lot of ideas that made it into both the original trilogy and the prequels in here.

It seems an 88 second teaser will be hitting a limited number of theatres this weekend. I've heard anywhere from 50 locations up to 500. I guess we'll know for sure in a few days. Those of us living in less than major metropolitan areas will likely have to make do with a crappy CAM release until it hits the net officially.

For the first half, I wasn't sure... Then the X-Wings showed up and had me hooked. I can't wait another year.

Glad to see they didn't retcon out all of the Stormtroopers being clones lol.

Hrm. I'm not sure yet. It looks more Prequel-y, visually, than I was expecting (including the new goofy droid giving me pit droid flashbacks) and parts of it seem almost fan film-y (especially the new ridiculous broadsword looking saber). I was trying not to get my hopes up and I, sadly, did. I know it's still super early, so I guess I'll wait and see what comes out next.

I like how we pretty much know nothing new from this teaser. Actually I'm very impatient for more story details but I think I can live with it. :D

It feels Star Wars through and through, and my fears have been abated already. I think much of that is thanks to the John Williams score.

Well, the bulk is clones, or at least, the bulk is Jango's remaining clones. The Empire made clones of a variety of different hosts after the Clone Uprising on Kamino....or was that retconned? I don't think it was...

While that latter part is now of dubious canonicity, I think the general explanation is that by the time of the Original Trilogy, most Stormtroopers are recruits. The 501st (again, unconfirmed canonicity) are still Jango clones, though.
