How is the mafex Batman?

So... last week I bought my first ever full-priced S.H. Figuarts release: Black Condor.

Really short review? Holy shit this toy is amazing quick I need to preorder everything else Super Sentai that's coming out.

Great sculpt. Great paint. Great detailing down the the zippers on the back of the suit and the boots and even the little textured leather on the frontside of his hand.

Mine DID have a little flaw on QC though, which lead me to discover that the limbs are actually made of a white plastic that's been painted black: A bit of paint flaked off near the elbow and was starting to peel. Luckily I just heated that section up and did some minor surgery to prevent some really horrible paint chipping.

Still. This toy has really turned around my opinion on S.H. Figuarts. I cannot wait for the Green Ranger/Dragonranger release.

I think the Jetman mould is perhaps the best Sentai body that Figuarts has done so far. Red Hawk in my opinion is the best Sentai figuarts to date. Though from the photos, Tyranoranger and Dragon ranger look to be contenders for this title.

Is Red Hawk just the same exact mold with a new helmet of Black Condor?

To my knowledge, yes. All the Sentai figures seem to share the same body that was used for whatever Red that came out, the exception of course, being the female suits.

With that I had an idea, just get an extra shinken blue and green heads, a couple super shinken reds and paint the red parts blue and green and boom super shinken blue and green until bandwidth makes em :lol

Damn, a lot of people are getting the MAFEX Bats... I honestly didn't expect that...

They Spidey is amazing! Unfortunately Bats isnt mine. I'm sure hes just as great. maybe even better!

I'm really excited for Bats. He should be coming into my work any week now :D

Spidey I'm iffy on because I really didn't like that movie or costume despite being a pretty devoted ASM fan.

Hopefully they'll continue with the MAFEX line when Spidey 2 comes out... that suit looks fucking rad!

I felt the exact same way. Then I got my hands on his articulation. He's literally the perfect spidey.

As lame as it would be to have to buy another spidey, I'D LOVE THAT!

At last, the last two main Heisei Riders I needed that are now mine.

Do you happen to have a Detolf glass case from IKEA? The only reason I ask is because if you do, can you see if Destoroyah can fit? I was initially considering buying him from Den-O, but I just don't think those wings are going to allow him to fit since they don't go back like Ghidorah's do.

I do not, but they can fold back a bit. The wings are on the shoulders rather than the back.

Sweet baby jesus, I never get over seeing Destroyah in package.

I ordered my Ryuki from Hobby Link Japan. I'm not entirely sure if it's suppose to come with the figuart(I didn't order it) or if it got packed in by mistake. Either way, score for me! :D

The stands were part of a 5th anniversary of SHF promotion Bandai was doing. They were tied into the rereleases of the main Heisei riders and the Wizard Flame Dragon release. HLJ gave them out more or less randomly with those figures, AmiAmi included them only with Wizard's bike and Flame Dragon.

But Post Office did try to deliver a box today, while my wife was out. Should be a couple of MGs in there, one for you and one for me. Guess I'd better text my wife, see if she can pick it up before they close tonight.

While it looks cool, I couldn't justify that price for a statue.

Light up. I could justify it to myself, since it's 15.5 inches tall, and Shadow is my favorite Sonic character...and I have a ton of time to save up for it.

Eh. I found him to be a bit too 'cliche anti-hero' for my tastes.
Metal Sonic is where it's at.

So this week I got in the figuarts of the 'The First' versions of Kamen Riders 1 and 2. I always kinda wanted Hongo and Ichimonji, but am not that big a fan of the actual Showa suits (or the faded/damaged 'The Next' versions).

That said, these two are pretty awesome. They have great articulation and lovley shiny paint jobs. I can definitly see why the original figuarts caught on. I espcially love all the little molding differences between the two, like the different belts and scarves.

Silver is best Hedgehog.

I am not a Sonic fan.
Here are the Sonic characters I like:
Metal Sonic.
The rest can die in a fire for all I care.

So I'm not gonna get into a "Who's best" debate concerning Sonic characters.

Hm...maybe a bit at first, but I don't find him as cliché the way he is now. He got A LOT better after that whole amnesia nonsense.
