So, what will we do if we don't get 10 entries with more than 1 vote?
I know there's still a full week of submitting and suggesting, but assuming we only get, say, 6 suggestions with more than 1 vote. How will we determine the other 4 to go into the poll of the other 15+ suggested series? |

And you'd refute him. And he'd refute you. And you'd refute him. And he'd refute you. And you'd refute him. And he'd refute you. And you'd refute him. And he'd refute you. I'd like to watch those debates while watching Angels fight Bugs, Giant Beasts, and Robots. And Brajira. |

I explain why the show sucks. Sentai refutes me. I invoke Godwin's Law, flip a table, and then storm out of the thread. Every week. "Yeah, well you know who else loved kid-friendly arcade machines with high-pitched voices and big googly anime eyes? Hitler!" "You know who else used to dance around with big plastic microphones with faces on them? The Nazis." Every. Week. I promise. :lol |
All the better to pick Goseiger :lol

Since it was just finished, I'd say Maskman.

And you know what else helps? Nexus isn't 50 episodes long. You guys would be back to fighting over Goseiger or OOO or whatever else in no time. I would have vastly preferred Ultraman Max as its episodes show the full spectrum of what's possible in your average Ultraman series, with many fantastic directors and writers, and a healthy respect and homage to the Showa classics without requiring actually seeing those old episodes, but... well, Tokuplex starting subbing Max when it was new. In 2005. Quote:

One seeder isn't a whole lot, I know, but it's not much less than how many there were when I downloaded it. :p Quote:

Actually, because it was more of this pro-Ultraman movement... doesn't mean I don't applaud thinking outside the box like that, and any show with Fujioka as its "chief" is alright in my book!

Well, everyone else is doing something like this, so maybe I'll support Nexus whenever Rescue Fire wins. Though, chances are Nexus will win before Rescue Fire does... |
So OOO and Black are tied, huh?
I could go for either of those, but which one? I never finished Black, so that'd be a good opportunity. But I love OOO. Hmmmm... |

OOO is less than three years old. Pretty much everyone here has already seen it and those who haven't will likely be getting around to it sooner than later. Black is from the Showa era - hell, there are probably users here younger than Black. And because it's such an older show, odds are a lot of people here aren't going to go out of their way to watch it without some incentive. Making Black the next LWW show means some people who would otherwise pass on it might actually give Showa Rider a chance. I think that would be a great thing. And from a practical standpoint, when we did W last year, which was the same age as OOO at the time, nobody ever posted in the threads. |
Then I vote Black.
|
Well, you have to remember that this is for series suggestions, not the actual voting.
It's pretty much a shoe-in that Black is going to be in the voting round at this point. |

Well if we're going older, if it's subbed I'd like to nominate Amazon.

I already had my nomination, but you know what would be kinda sweet for a future LWW race? The Godzilla films. Like maybe 2 a week or something.

Aren't there, like, 28 Godzilla films?
That'd be quite a long LWW :lol |

Honestly, if Millionfold Curiosity had already finished resubing it, I would totally be behind checking out Goseiger. But they haven't, so... |

Compared to 3 20 odd minute episodes, watching 2 movies longer than an hour would be quite the leap in how much someone would have to watch to keep up with LWW. If the average Godzilla movie is 90 minutes or so, then I think 1 a day will be plenty. |
Twenty-eight weeks of Godzilla movies is a bit much to ask and more than likely to cause lost interest in following LWW. Over half a year dedicated to Godzilla would be rough, although has the potential to be enjoyable if people did stick with it.
Again, though, it's material officially licensed in the US, many of the Showa films are out of print and $50+, and Godzilla 1985 continues to be stuck in a licensing mire until at least next year. Even a DVD set or two for a series is easier to wrangle together than 28 individual DVD releases. Were everything nice and tidy like the licensing in Australia with Madman, that would be a whole other story. |

Hibiki's a series that I've wanted to check out for a long time, so I figure IF it was the LWW, it would make it more of a priority. I'm not really gonna go for shows that I've either already seen (Gokaiger, Go-Busters, Kuuga, Kabuto, W (though that's been done so I don't have to worry about people nominating it :D), Ryuki, Garo, Garo Makai Senki) or shows that I'm currently watching (OOO, Zyuranger, Dairanger (though that's been done before), Jetman (been done), Sun Vulcan, Fourze, Amazon) because I'm already watching those at my own pace; so I'm less likely to participate in the week-to-week discussion threads. Also, I feel like shows like OOO are too recent and therefore people have a)already seen it or b)they are currently or plan to watch it anyway. Shows like Hibiki I feel like would benefit more because they're not so recent and because they (in Hibiki's case) garner a very mixed reaction, so the LWW would expose those shows to people who may not have even thought of watching it. By that reasoning, I also wouldn't be against throwing a vote the way of an Ultraman show when the poll gets made up, or at a show like Blade or Black for example. Quote:

Maybe one day all the Godzilla films will be licensed for release in both the US and Australia (and other Western nations of course). One day. |
