We welcome all the feedback, but if you guys could tone it down with personally attacking each other, especialy on our Fb page over what other people like, it would really set a better impression. Right now, it's somewhat embarrassing to explain to Bandai Japan why American fans seem to not like each other just because someone likes something else that you might not find favorable.

What? No no no, we aren't attacking anyone over which version they like? This is just how we are normally. This is just the way of the internet. If you think this is bad, don't check out the forums on GameFAQs. Over there, having an opinion is a declaration of war. :p

We might seem hostile, but if we were in a room with each other, it would just be a normal discussion as to why we agree or disagree. We would not be yelling at each other as you might be thinking we are here. It is one of the reasons why I think text will never be half as good communicating wise as a mouth, but we have no choice.

I think he's commenting more on the community at large. There are tons of people verbally attacking each other over this on various sites. A lot of us are disagreeing here but we're trying keep it civil at the very least.

Though I think the argument is largely moot at this point since, as Derringer pointed out, the chest will be the only slight difference. Sort of makes most of the arguing pointless :lol

I feel conflicted. The male version is still the one I want but the female body actually works incredibly well for the figure. I'm almost tempted to double dip now.

If I get a Tiger Ranger, I'd probably end up getting the female version now.

Maybe I'm bias, but the bulkier look of the male version is much better for Tiger Ranger, imo. Doesn't help that the male one was posed in a lot cooler way, though.

Also, unless I'm mistaken, by the time they were using female Yellow Ranger footage, hadn't they stopped using the Zyuranger weapons?

See, I see a lot of difference in them. Trini has slender hips, a rounder chest, thinner, shorter upper legs, and thinner arms. Boi looks just like Geki.

Although, I may buy the female version for a comic joke I have been thinking of, I will ultimately be getting Boi for sure.

Gaga, I don't ever remember them ever using the ZyuRanger weapons in any of the US footage outside of the normal blaster and I just watched S1 and S2 over the last few weeks.

Yeah, that's how I remember it too. By Season 3 the Zyuranger stuff was gone. I figured that was part of the reason for the Ninja forms, because they didn't have a huge lot to work with for the costumed fights.

My memory seems to recall this as well. Once they went to the White Ranger and Ninja stuff the weapons no longer were used. Heck, the White Ranger stopped talking with Saba after only a few episodes it seemed.

It's funny though that in the Operation Overdrive episode 'Once a Ranger', Adam used the Power Axe in his Black Ranger form.

In terms of which Yellow Ranger I get, I'll wait and see how they're going to do this fully. I'd like to hear some release dates for Black, Blue, and Yellow hopefully soon.

While they look different it doesn't seem entirely different enough to justify having 2 for me. I'll stick with Tiger Ranger.

Totally going MMPR Yellow. I just feel that it looks better than Tiger Ranger.

I'm not sure whether I'll bother with Trini anyway but man that looks great! It's done so subtly, but so effectively, striking a great balance between screen accuracy and character accuracy.

That Trini Kwan Figuarts looks awesome. I may still buy both of them, but man, she looks great.

I had to laugh -- notice how the MMPR one is posed legs together, but the Zyuranger one posed legs apart. In the Zyu2 footage, the Yellow Ranger did teleportation and other team poses with her legs together like Pink Ranger; in Zyuranger, Tiger Ranger poses with his legs apart like the other 3 men. :lol

Since I have never seen Zyuranger a female Yellow holds more interest for me. I always wondered how the guy who played the Yellow Zyuranger felt when/if he found out the re-cat him as a female in the U.S. version.

Well, MMPR isn't, like, an adaptation or anything. It just uses the same fights. They didn't really re-cast him.

It would have been hilarious if they had him dub over her lines when they brought it over, though :p

He didn't care. It's common place for male suit actors to play female characters. Look up Yuichi Hachisuka sometime. He's the suit actor for a lot of female rangers and villains including Gokai Yellow, Yellow Buster, and Candelilla.

I hope I've crushed some fantasies with this post :p

For me, it's actually reached the point that I'm surprised when a female character actually has a female suit actress :lol
