So i saw the raw and from what i can tell, i liked it. After hearing all the comparisons to w i thought it would be a snoozefest. Thankfully i was proven wrong. |

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, so this is what they call a slice of life series. :D Anyway, it was pretty good. Not as good as Wizard's first episode, but better than the first episode to Fourze. If left me curious, but I am more interested in the Yggdrasil Corporation right now than I am of anyone else. I could do without the break dancing Beyblade battle though. |

The opening dialogue really has set the mood for this series. Serious with a dash of fun. My initial impression is that we can expect great things from it. Kouta seems to be a very likable and fun rider much like Eiji/OOO, or at least that's the impression I'm getting. The Invess seem to be terrifying little bastard step children of Yu-Gi-Oh monsters :lol Though I think I like the aspect of the battles they're used in. Settling the score in little street battles that can go out of control easily. DJ guy might get annoying down the road though. And I like the twist of Gaims driver being given to him via a Lock Seed dealer. The bad guys want him to have his power. It looks very much like the forces at work here, dealers and Yggdrasil, want a rider war to ahppen. And holy guest stars batman! Goro from Ryuki is the guy at the fruit bar! And to Sentai himself, as much as it pains me to say it, that henshin was literally juicy. |

Anyone else noticed Yuuya disappears after calling Kouta to see the Sengoku Driver? Kouta also almost ate the fruit in the place they believed Yuuya had gone and found the belt there. He's also not in the preview...putting two and two together, I think Yuuya ate the fruit and became the Invess that attacked them. PS The Juice Bar owner is Masato Mishima from Kabuto (aka the scary guy in glasses). Edit: and the shorter role of Goro from Ryuki. |

And shorter role? Goro was Kitaoko's confidant, best friend, and butler for nearly the entire show. Mishima was pointless by the end of Kabuto, having been TheBee once and being insanely evil by the end. Goro became the second Zolda, way more awesome :D |

oh I loved it, I was getting total agito/ryuki vibes from this show, its like watching a modern rider series in the era of early hesei and I adored it so ready for the next episode, I hope this show takes a serious and dark twist |

Well, I watched the sub. *sigh* JUICY! I will be watching next week. I actually rather enjoyed the episode. It didn't end up like I had feared, and it definitely gave off some similar concepts and ideas to Ryuki, almost frighteningly so, though nowhere near as dark (and to be honest, I don't mind that, I don't want another Ryuki, that season is special to me, I just wanted something closer to that than to Kyoryuger and that seems to be what we are getting). The fruit gimmick may take a little bit longer to really grow on me (haha, puns), but so far...yeah, I like it. |

I really dug this episode. Like many have already said, I got a heavy Ryuki/Agito/Faiz vibe from it. I like Kouta. I kind of wish we had seen a little more of the other main characters but I understand the need to focus on Kouta first. I also really like the fact that there seems to be an overarching mystery ala Kuuga/Agito. I know there was technically an overarching mystery in Wizard but it tended to forget about it for long streches at a time. Hopefully that doesn't happen here. Also, the part with the stairs reminded me a lot of Momotaros which is always a good thing :D Looking forward to Episode 2! |

Great first episode, way better than Wizard's. The first battle was great with Kota learning slowly how to use his weapons. I'm really looking forward to the next ones. |

Loved the first episode, it was very entertaining and intriguing. There's so much more to know about Invess and that Yggdrasil corporation. That girl's warning gives me the shivers. |

I enjoyed it. Not as much as Fourze or Wizards first eps, but the latter I lost interest in under half way through. So yeah, first impression don't count for much, although episode 1 of Fourze I watched like 5 times as i couldn't get enough of it =p Anyway, things I liked: The riders costumes/suits are still awesome. Love those designs. Always dig it when the rider has no clue, makes them feel more human. Magic fruit lock monster battles! EDIT: oh and that epic hoo ha chant stuff before the henshin.. awesome! stuff I disliked: The really boring dancing. The main Inbess/invess/whatever design was pretty boring. Next weeks looks better though, so there's that. Mystical Mai looked like a cheap cosplayer. |

That was a good start off. It does have a Ryuki feel to it so far and I like how Kouta learned to use his powers. |

Well that was certainly a lot of fun, but I don't feel I got enough from that episode to really make an opinion. It sorta felt like loads of Rider shows smashed together, which is a difficult thing to pull off well, but I think the show managed it with one of the rare times a toku budget and the creators ambitions seem to have met in the middle. Although that DJ was ridiculously annoying. That doesn't mean though, that I am entirely convinced. The opening episode is a crucial one, it needs to hook an audience and make them come back, so riding tried and tested ideas and wrapping it up in a glossy package functioned perfectly in this context. But I just hope in twenty episodes down the line, where the show needs to provide something deeper than just surface flash and thrills, it will have found its feet and some unique ideas of its own, which aren't just toy focused. |

Loved it. Bright, colourful and lots of fun but with definite hints of some underlying serious stuff. Very eager to see more. (You won't get me saying "juicy" though. Never :P) |
