i guess alot of posters are not like me, but i really think it's going to be alot of fun, i dont care about details, it might be better this way rather getting broken detailed toys.
i just hope the show is fun for the toys, that's all i care about. |
I think the purple dragon would be cooler if it were a steam locomotive, think about it, steam engines run on fire and dragons breathe it, could be a cool concept using cold sparks like on the old firecons and sparkbots from transformers.
|
I'm really looking forward to the mecha, not sure about everything else though.
|
The candy toys look great, and through these scans the suits seem to be better-looking too. Can't wait to see more of this revealed.
|
I'm pretty sure the candy toys shown are not the combining ones, but the pull back racers they always do with vehicles. You can see the tires sticking out of the back.
|
THese costumes do not make good toys. They are just so bland looking.
|
This show is already so ugly. I don't mean to offend but I can't have any fun with this much of a focus on trains... I thought Sentai's point was to create a cool concept and get kids to want to be that. I would never have pretended to be a train warrior as a kid. I might be underestimating train lovers but I don't think this show is gonna be that great for ratings.

Trains have their place. Den-O was train-based.
But Den-O wasn't SOLEY train-based. This show has trains for the motif and nothing else. The suits are generic as hell, the helmets are all almost identical, the Megazord has almost no detail or interesting design. It almost seems fake. |
The vinyl figures are soooorta making the helmets grow on me, mostly because the tracks looked so flat in the promo pics. It would've been a huge plus to implement the track design on the suits as opposed to the crossing gate.

Is BBTS reliable enough for me to try and put down Pre-Orders?
And if I raise the money, can I pay for them ahead of time? Because if either of those are yeses, I'm going to try and drop money for Tank and Carrier Resshas and Tokkyu-Oh |
I don't see myself spending one cent on Tokkyuger toys, except the figuart for the Red ranger since I want to collect all the Reds. That means I'll have more money for other stuff so it's not all bad.

2 - I don't think so. |

BBTS is reliable though they take longer to receive stock, and their prices can be a little steeper than HLJ or Amiami. But they are reliable none the less. I've got the auxiliary Ressha on order there. $25 is a pretty damn good price for a DX train.
|
I really, really need hi-res pictures of the mecha. Every angle, the connectors especially. I must know how they connect to each other!
|
While I'm not sure about Tokkyu-oh, I think I can get behind a violet dragon that also happens to be a train. Well played Bandai.

If the purple dragon train ends up being cool maybe. MAYBE.

The Minipla ToQOh adds some much-needed articulation. and it appears there's an SRC prototype...
|
The minipla looks really cool. The SRC though, it uh, doesn't look that good.
|
So when is this thread going to be renamed?
|
Just taken care of. For future reference, ALL Toqger related material that had the term Tokkyu in it, will instead have Toq.
Resha Sentai Toqger Toq 1 Toq 2 Toq 3 Toq 4 Toq 5 Toq Changer Toq Oh |
Toq is so weird though :lol I feel like I'm going to say torque every time I see it :lol

Toq is literally just a weirdly romanized way of saying "tokkyu"
"To" with a hard "Q" sound achieves the same effect as Tokkyu. This is just the official spelling Toei/Bandai has gone with. |
Cuz I didn't suck at saying "Tokkyuger" on the podcast and now I have to figure out "Toqger"
|

It's pronounced the same. :p |
so the thing I thought was an SRC might be part of a new subline called "Full Action Robo." its a detailed non-transforming figure similar to America's Retrofires.

Wait... RETROFIRE TRAINBOW MEGAZORD. It'd actually look like it has a waist! |
Keep your eyes peeled people. These pics are coming from the official Toqger press conference/reveal. Toys and merch will be on full display for the public so there will probably be an avalanche of new pics over night! :D

The rumored violet 6th is all we know, possible dragon train-formerrobo with a drill. Q2 catalogues will feature that character. Probably in late March early April.
