It is when you're complaining about Saban "dumbing things down for kids" when Kyoryuger quite frankly from what I've heard and seen isn't that mature a show to begin with.No but I've talked to people who have and from what I've heard it doesn't seem to be my cup of tea.

"Dumbing things down for kids" and a just making a show for kids are still two different things. I never said Kyoryuger is mature. It's a kids show, like every other season of Super Sentai (or Kamen Rider). But unlike most Power Rangers stuff I've seen, it doesn't act as if their viewers wouldn't get the action without the characters commenting every little shit that happens.
Okay, it isn't your cup of tea, but that doesn't mean it's bad. I'm not very fond of Ultraman, but I don't think it's a bad show just because I didn't like what I've seen.

Also, regarding the rights: Just because they bought the right for the show, it still doesn't make the show their creation. If I buy a handmade necklace, it DOES belong to me, but I do not claim I made it, because I haven't. Sure, they do add their own stuff in PR, but they still use designs and story elements created by someone else and that's something you have to credit.

When you say MOST PR stuff....do you mean you mean the recent Saban seasons? Because they're really the only ones that dumb it down at all. Even MMPR mostly relied on being as awfully 90's as possible instead of spelling everything out like Samurai and Megaforce do. But yeah most seasons dont tend to talk down so much.

A sentai purist using an apples and oranges argument? The fun never stops. If you have no interest in discussing DINO CHARGE which is NOT KYORYUGER and just wanna gush over some sentai show, then why are you here? Sentai purists will never make sense to me.

Each Sentai series has always been credited in the end credits, along with the writer/original conceiver (although flicking through the Super Megaforce credits they used Hatte Saburo, which amused me). Hell I vaguely remember some Samurai eps even having "adapted from a story by..." at the beginning.

Yeah, that's what I was talking about. I don't remember they did it in the Disney seasons, which were the ones I remembered watching first.

Oh yeah, because saying I don't like the newer Saban seasons makes me a Sentai purist. Especially as someone who said: "I wish Disney would get the rights back, because I liked Disney Power Rangers" I'm surely a Sentai purist and hate Power Rangers in general. And since when do I "let everyone know how much I hate Power Rangers" in every discussion about it? This is the first time I ever spoke up in a Power Rangers discussion on this forum.

And if I remember correctly, you are always complaining about people telling you to stop whining about all the bad things in Kamen Rider seasons (especially when it comes to Gaim), so you ask ME not to state my opinion on Dino Charge?
Oh yeah. I forgot, YOU are always right with what you say and it's perfectly fine to say how much you hate Kuuga and how awesome you think Wizard is and everyone who has a different opinion just can't judge a show objectively.

Coming into a Power Rangers thread and immedaitly starting your post with how Saban doesn't respect Kyoryuger fans made me lose all interest and credibility in anything you posted after.

Constructive criticism and needless crap are two entirely separate beasts. It says everything that you cannot distinguish the two.

This is a mixed sort of feeling for me. I for one was very intrigued by what Saban could have done with Go-Busters, so skipping the series is a let down from that standpoint. On the other hand, the designs and meka of Kyoryuger should make for an entertaining PR series considering the history of dinosaur themed shows in the line. So I will have to take a "wait and see" approach to this show.

Amusingly, if it gets skipped, Go-Busters will join ranks with Dairanger on the "what could have been" fanfic circuit. And who would have ever compared those two shows, heh!

Yeah. They announced this weekend that Go-Busters wasn't profitable for Bandai so Saban is skipping it and going straight to Kyoryuger. I think that's a damn shame. I liked Go-Busters.

I'm not all that hot on Kyoryuger. I think there have been enough dinosaur and animal themed sentai.

I'm a little worried about Ressha Sentai ToQger. The whole train theme doesn't do much for me plus I think the suits look ridiculous. But that's just me.
