It would be nice to get an all new American villain again.

I really do think not have a face villain has made recent seasons a little less enjoyable, for me at least. I don't know... I just prefer being able to see a villain who can emote and feels a little more like they could be real rather than just flat dubbed over.

(PS. I include Mesogog in this category despite the extensive mask, because by god did that guy make me believe Anton Mercer turned into this... "thing")

And the way he calmly walked around and hissed as he spoke in such a low-pitched and controlled fashion.

Although Mesogogg was an awesome visual creation, he also kinda sucked, in my opinion.

I'm not having trouble with Blue being a caveman.I'm ok with it.The only thing I'm trying to figure out is how will Cyan act then? The description for the caveman would fit Cyan to a tee over here. If the caveman is just Blue,that's fine as well.I think it's a cool idea that he is a caveman,I'm just curious about where he came from and how they'll write in him and Cyan.

My guess is that the Caveman will already be with our version of Torin,as in the rangers meet both of them.

Well right now the Spirit Rangers are pretty much entirely up in the air. They were ultimately pretty superfluous and they don't need them to advertise the toys so they might not be interested in having to shoot so much original footage for such minor characters.

I'm not saying they won't be adapted, but right now the focus should be on the core team, not the Spirit Rangers.

If this is true and Violet and Grey are being adapted, I'd assume Cyan will too simply because the majority of fight scenes with those three were together and if there's one thing Neo Saban hates doing it's original footage.

Blue as a caveman is "eh". It has the potential to be really fun just as much as it has the potential to be super-duper cringe worthy. It's hard to say wether it's a good thing or not until we see it on-screen.

Oh I totally agree.The biggest focus right now should be the core team.I am hoping they don't add an "Alpha" or "Bulk and Skull".Yeah they are comedy relief,but sometimes it comes over a little too strong and distracts from the story.

I think Starscream has forgotten how many original things we got with Judd Lynn. We got original villains such as Astronema, Ransik, and Trakeena. We also got Ryan, the Titanium Ranger. We got the BATTILIZERS. And we got the Chuck Norris of Power Rangers: Carter Grayson. We had the BEST seasons with Lynn.

Oh good lord. A Power Up Battlizer for Carnival would raise up Dino Charge Red's insane amount of forms even more.

It won't surprise me if we do get a original villain since Lynn might find Choas too silly to be the main villain. I think he give us a original villain for Time Force since he most likely thinks Don Dolnero was too stupid looking to be taken seriously.

Part of me thinks the original villains in most Ranger shows stem less from "unable to be taken seriously" and more "provide less cumbersome costumes that actually allow the villains to emote."

In my mind this bounty hunter business screams original villain. That, or a American footage take on Enter who is conveniently absent from all in suit interactions with the rangers. Who says that they can't use a concept from Go-Buster with out delving into the footage.

Deboss to me is no where near "bounty hunter" but then again Saban Brand's tends to pull anything these days. "Oh that's headache medicine", "Oh that's a sky ship", "Oh, this isn't Japanese, it's a power symbol". A bunch of rubber suited guys in what may as well be a giant stomach/chest cavity could well become bounty hunters with not an explanation in sight.

But at least we can have a little faith in Judd... until proven wrong.

They can make Priest Chaos into a bounty hunter and make him more badass. I'm pretty sure Dogold is most likely going to be used since he is likely going to share a connection to the 6th ranger similar to his Sentai counter part.

Oh sure, I mean take out Kyoryuger's filler episodes and that whole Dogold/Ucchi plot could be awesome. I don't see why Judd would demand they cut that whole thing. People love sixth rangers with some kind of connection to the bad guys. Little incentive to change it really.

I hope they treat Dogold as an Evil Ranger as that was technically what he was. We know Power Rangers can recognise Rangers where Sentai did not.

I wonder if Deathryuger will be added or not since he is not seen in the casting. The Dino PR seasons had one evil Dino Ranger since MMPR Season 1 had Tommy and DT had Trent.

I've never been convinced there's enough footage to use Deathryuger for an extended period of time. To insert him into the show in any major way would mean bundles of extra footage. Now I'm not one to bang on about "oh that's not cheap enough for so and so, hurhurhur" but yeah... that is what it is.

They did it with the Green Ranger and he turned into the symbol for the entire franchise.

That was because they had Toei film "Zyu2" footage that included the Green Ranger. I doubt they could do that again, but it would be pretty awesome.

Given the whole flute knife thing, and his limited footage and his evil Ranger status I don't think Saban will miss a chance to milk the Green Ranger further.

In an ideal world I would agree, but they already have plenty of easy to use footage for many other rangers so I'm not so sure.

Deathryuger can be used for a TV special. The TV special can be called "Dino Charge: The Great Dinosaur Musical Battle" if they use any of the music elements from Gaburincho of Music. I think he is a cool looking character that they can make some cool toys out of him.

Oh yeah, but they could have easily skipped Green all together is what I meant, as he was in the show very little. He was important to that show but as MMPR was largely without plot or characters at that point so Burai never had to be important to MMPR. But they used the footage and then the Green Ranger becomes an icon for a whole generation.

So the very same could happen with D.

It coooooooouuld happen, sure. Just like they could depart from the source material in LG style, or use a more original theme song. But with so many other rangers to pick from with far more regular screen time and more importantly publicity in the way of possible plot importance they could c&p cheaply, I'm still not really convinced.

With 10 core rangers over the 2 years anyway, I dont think theres ANY need for the Deathryuger character to be used UNLESS they release a domestic Tobaspino toy, in which case im sure they would work him in. Across the movie and the episode he appeared in, im sure they could make use of it in a halloween special or something.

Given the fact they have over 40 episodes to adapt the show, unlike Goseiger and Gokaiger, they can afford to spread things out a bit more and craft a better narrative.

If the stuff we're hearing is legit, im fairly hopeful that the show will have a serious bump in quality next year. I expect to be wrong, but hope im not.

That's not it at all. I don't have a problem that didn't copy and paste Nossan from Kyoryuger. I have a fucking problem with the fact that there's a show about dinosaurs and they turn Blue into something as cliche as a caveman. There were countless other ways they could've gone.

I have much more problems with Green and Grey becoming cowboy brothers who fence and lasso people personally. At least a cavemen is silly enough to be fun, Green and Grey just sound crap.
