Cure Peach was a blast in All Stars DX 2 and I really want to see more of her! :D

She is the Precure version of Kamen Rider Black, of course she's badass. :lol

Berry's cool too, she'll probably end up being my favorite once I get to watching Fresh... but Peach so far as the better first impression to me. :lol

I loved cure back when I watched the ocean dub of precure shame they never dubbed max heart or the movies but I did love hear character. Your right with splash star I though it was direct sequal after max heart due the 2 cure look like there from original but not on wikia they say it was reboot if sorts.

I think it was the fact that it was the first reboot of the series so they weren't exactly sure what a precure was at the point so they just thought to redesign the original precures and have it be that... that or the designers were just lazy. :lol

It's part of Super Hero Time so I'd imagine that's pretty much the case, though I'd say it's more of the girl equivalent to Kamen Rider, not so much Super Sentai.

That seems to be the main explanation, they wanted to continue Futari Wa's popularity but couldn't continue to use Black and White forever, so they made new lookalike characters with a very different power set.

Kind of like the switch from Kamen Rider Ichigo to Kamen Rider Nigo, they only did a full on redesign once they got to V3.

I guess it depends on the show, Futari is more Kamen Rider, Yes is more Sentai.

If you are talking about Melody and co... well they had prototypes shown alongside the Smile girls, but it seems they went to limbo land alongside KR Saga and Master Asia.

I watched DX2 too! I didn't like it as much as some of you guys, but it was a very entertaining watch nonetheless.
