The latest Hibiki episode looks good, but the font during the closing credits is really large. Not sure if that was intentional or not.

Did you not get 9+ out yet?

It'll be out in at most like a week and a half. Trying to build up a lot of scripts in case anything goes wrong. |

I think it might be smart to focus on one series at a time. I find a lot of fansub groups' downfall comes when they start taking on too many projects--then they burn out and finish none of them. I know you're scaling back on Goranger et al, which I hope gives you more time to focus on Hibiki. Just my 2 cents. ;) |

So basically a QC I haven't moved up at all |
Wow, for someone ripping off other peoples stuff, you're incredibly lazy about it.
And what was the point of screwing up the typesetting that was already done for you? As the old saying goes "if it ain't broke, don't 'fix' it." And of course, Hibiki. Before you started ripping off Hibiki-Anon's subs instead of TV-N. Also, I find it hilarious how your faq states "Will you sub _____? Probably not, considering we have projects at the moment and there’s probably someone else doing it.", even though everything you've done has already been done by someone else. Bar Janperson, which was you shoving the captions into Google Translate and having actual translators checking it over, and Goranger, which from 1-24 was just you changing the fonts and adding unnecessary karaoke to Bad Apple's releases, and 24 onwards is Rampage translating and you doing the exact same thing there. |
I'm not entirely sure I buy your thesis from the comparison picture, Gustyguru. I'm seeing plenty of variations between the translation here, not just one or two words changed around. Similar but different translations of the same source material isn't much of a smoking gun.
And if you are right? I don't care. If PMLG's work is just a scrub of the TVN or Hibiki-Anon stuff, I can live with it. The TVN episodes look like shit and Hibiki-Anon didn't even get halfway through the show. Even if it's not a fully independent work, it's still Hibiki in significantly higher definition and I want that in my life and no one else is offering it. |
Quote:
Which is probably why, as Pikamaster put it "Hibiki is slow sailing right now (super slow)". Because he doesn't have a source of subs to claim he did after 16, apart from TV-N's gibberish. And really? It's a scrub? You might want to tell Pikamaster that, cause he seems pretty adamant that all the translation is done by him. And no, it isn't ~higher definition~ work. The raws and Hibiki-Anons scripts were already there, people are just too lazy to mux the two together. |
Quote:
Are we really thinking Pikamaster is ever going to finish Hibiki? He's already been distracted by the boneheaded decision to sub Drive. (Prove me wrong, Pika. Your work is currently the best available option. I'd hate to see it stop.) |
Quote:
The sad thing about all this is that if anyone actually bothered to download TV-N/Hibiki-Anon's stuff and compare it to Pikamaster's "work", it'd be incredibly obvious that he's just ripping them off. Though there won't be any slowdown with Drive, considering all Pikamaster is going to do is the exact same thing he does with Goranger: sit back, let everyone else do the work, and then add Karaoke straight from the Aeigisub forums. |
Quote:
I haven't been distracted, I have very little free time on my hands... Besides, I wouldn't have started something if I didn't intend to finish it... Quote:
I'm the main translator for Drive this time, and I'm not even sure if I'm doing karaoke for it. And the only thing I actually translated for Drive is the first and extended promo as of now. http://deltasubs.wordpress.com/2014/...r-drive-promo/ that one http://deltasubs.wordpress.com/2014/...xtended-promo/ and this one |

Right now there's only one group working on providing dvd quality subs of Hibiki and it's PMLG. |

I'm rooting for you, man. But I'm also being realistic. |

And frankly, it was going to happen at some point. "I'm doing Toqger! Ignore the fact that 99% of the script is the exact same as Over-time's script! I'm doing Blade! Except I'm not, but I'm going to list it as if I'm doing it! Same with Wizard!". I'd say Drive would be the same, but considering the team Pikamaster has convinced to work with him already has two translators, and that he's roped Clock Up into translating as well, it may be somewhat decent quality. No thanks to Pikamaster. Heck, 3T-PC would be able to do the show themselves, Pikamaster just roped them in to doing the work for him. Also, to you Pikamaster: If you're going to be translating Drive, I can at least look forward to laughing at how bad the translation is going to be. Gonna shove the captions into google translate again, just like Janperson? And hmmn, two tiny ass promos, both of which came out only after Over-Time translated them. Yeah, suuuuuuure you translated those. P.S: "no, these projects are slow on their own ’cause I have a life, now shut up and gtfo”". Seriously? That's your comeback to being called out on stealing other people's work? Way to prove yourself as actually being an 11-year old. |
No offense unknown, but that was kind of rude, like really really rude.

And about the Google Translate thing. Go shove the captions of every show that I've done. Do they make sense? Do they exactly match my subs? And about the link with Over-Time's name. That comes from the snapshot taken with MPC, which used O-T's raw, if you must know. 3T-PC subs is made up of 3 type setters, 2 vector designers, and 3 translators including me, but 1 is only helping out with small things and the other translated the "This Rider is a Driver" promo. Clock Up volunteered to hard sub the project, but that was after 3T-PC said that he was a translator, though he has no knowledge of Japanese. And finally, the last part wasn't a comeback at all. It was the answer to a question. Read the entire thing for once. Okay? Maybe you'll realize that your rudeness isn't affecting me at all. |

Just going to jump in here really quick and make a quick statement.
For starters - not picking sides on a personal or on a professional level. I am not involved in the subbing community so I will not try to understand, rationalize, or defend anyone or any project. I do feel that if people have claims like are being thrown around in this thread that there is every right to have them aired out, discussed, and let the community itself decide who and what they wish to support. As a writer and former media content creator I take the calls of plagiarism very seriously. I have had my work taken, edited, called someone else's work, and watched the thief rise to levels of prosperity off MY work. I watched a good friend of mine make a HILARIOUS music video that was stolen by ebaumsworld, claimed to be theirs, and they actually MONETIZED off it (for reference, the Star Trek "Make it So" music video originally created by Jux of TFW2005.COM many years ago). So if someone IS stealing other peoples' work and claiming it as their own then there is a serious issue and it needs to be rectified ASAP. That being said, this thread is remaining open to continue the discussion. There are serious claims being levied at an individual and he has every right to defend himself and prove his innocence. No one on this site staff will be the judge OR the jury - the community will do that. I do ask one thing - please refrain from making personal insults at each other. That goes for both sides of this. That is a simple forum rule and I do expect everyone to follow it. My private message inbox is always open if someone would like to vent. Thanks everyone. |
All right. It's been a while, but I'm finally gonna get back on Hibiki.
I've been called a lot of things, accusations have been placed on me, and a lot of hatred has been thrown my way, (especially with Drive) but I won't let that stop me from doing this show, which really needs new subs. I know that no matter what I say, people are still gonna find ways to call me a thief, (I know what it's like, I'm also a writer, very protective of my work) but I won't let that get to me, so I'll just ignore it and do what I first showed up to do, which is make good DVD subs for Hibiki. So, um, I'm not sure when I'll actually release it... I'll stuck up on scripts for the first 20 or so episodes and release them a few at a time, I believe, but just keep an eye on my Twitter or the DeltaSubs site for any updates that I may post. tl;dr I'm doing hibiki, release date is soon-ish, and check mah twitter or DeltaSubs for updates on that - PikaMaster11 - |
Good to hear, man. You do that thing that Taylor Swift terribly raps about in her new song. :thumb:

I'd like to state that I'm trying my best to remain impartial in this discussion of theft.
Just to clarify that I am one of the staff members of their team as a typesetter, timer, SD encoder, and a distributor, and I don't touch the scripts provided. I'm also one of the Kamen Rider Wiki's Administrators as well, so like Kickback, I take theft seriously as well. PM11 and I are also not very close either. We only contact each other when we need to do work to release content. The truth to the matter is that we've seen other subbers do this same type of treatment. Anime subbing groups are most frequent to blatantly just use other people's work with better video and audio and sometimes doesn't even credit them. ie. Coalgirls, Elysium Subs, Final8, Baaro, Commie, Horriblesubs, AE, etc. Now here's where there might be some type of bias. I've given a huge amount of thought into whether or not PM11 really plagiarizes or not. Sure he may use other subbers for reference, but as far as I'm concerned, both Hibiki and Gorenger are very hard to translate according to people who supposedly know Japanese. So that's all fine and dandy, but like what the others said in this thread, PM11 is the only one who simply cared enough to attempt Hibiki using high quality DVD raws and pre-existing/edited/completely scratched subtitles. He worked on translating Never Surrender alone while I was contacting him back before the official lyrics were even given and before Music Arms was even released with its lyrics on the scans. Doing things by ear means he doesn't have closed captions and that he can't just shove everything into "google translate", right? Hell, even TV-N's "Even if i'm the devil" mistake still turned out to be perfectly fine because while it was an oversight on Sagara (and they had closed captions). It was revealed that he was a manifestation of Helheim itself and that he is the one who favors destruction to create rebirth and is ultimately the person who tempts people into getting power. Now I know Aesir's Magenta literally did a roadkill on Takenoko for that line. However, it somewhat worked out in the end. Subbing differences aside, both subs were completely competent and both had their own fair share of stupid mistakes. I personally do not understand the hate with PM11, but if anyone who dislikes him for being "unable to translate" and is a translator.. Why not try to aid him to do Hibiki instead of pouncing him to death? By helping him do Hibiki or by doing Hibiki completely on your own, you're doing the community a favor by enjoying a Kamen Rider series in its highest video quality available and with tolerable subs that is still better than "Don't molest the lawyer". I really advise that everyone should just get along. But if everyone insists that PM11 is what they claim he is, maybe someone else should step up to the plate and translate Hibiki as competition from scratch to prove PM11's alleged plagiarism. |

first of many updates I'll list on Twitter as I finish up episodes, if you'd like to know where I am at any time I just wanted to point it out because I know some of you really want to see new Hibiki, so here it is. |
