That is a awesome idea! It would help a lot transitioning the tone from Gosei's lighter one to Gokai's somewhat darker theme setting. Of course if Megaforce does get turned into Barizorg they won't kill him off once Barizorg's footage runs out.

I have no doubts if they went this route that black would be rescued from the barizorg cyborg body somehow towards the end of the series.They don't have it in them to kill the character off. It would be cool to end megaforce season 1 on an empire strikes back note. Turbo may have been the last season to do that.

Tommy knows they need help after getting their asses kicked, and the loss of Gosei Knight and the Gosei Powers. So he volunteers to become the Silver Ranger. Mentoring the group and helping them fight back, and find allies to give them more powers. Starting out with his Zeo, White Ranger, Green Ranger, and Dino Black keys. So he calls on some old friends. Andrew, Haley, and Anton. And together they create the Megaforce TyranoDragon Megazord. By combining the powers Tommy has held over the years, or something. Now THAT I would look forward to when it switches to Gokai.

Disney hasn't ruined that, yet. They've been keeping a hands-off approach which is nice to see. Maybe Avengers making more money then God can count helped with that decision.

I think they've done a good job handling anything that is a big money maker for them. That's why the Pixar and Marvel films have been hands-off and well marketed.

When something isn't earning as much money as they'd like, such as Power Rangers, the Chronicles of Narnia, or any number of aborted animated series on Disney Channel, they treat that property like a unwanted black sheep of the family. Of course, I can't definitely say this is true, but that's how the decisions of the Disney big shots look to me.
