I'm all for purple zords. But not at the expense of show accuracy and their general disdain towards females. The changing of the color really rubbed me the wrong way, but the Bandai representative's comment is absolutely vile.

With news they are releasing female keys and sixth ranger keys I would hope this is just a bad prototype and misinformed bandai rep.

On a side note, any news on the 7-11 ranger key rumor?

I'm actually glad I don't buy toys from Bandai of America. If the Triceratops isn't pink, forget it. I'll take my chances at importing.

me too, it's not the big of deal, if it's selling off the shelves, then that's all it matters.

i mean shogun megazord despite the pink shogun still flew off the shelves even i wanted it so bad, i mean the bottom line is if you like the toy you get it, not because of color changes.

if color is the reason why you wont buy the toy then you really got a serious problem.

Loving the Legacy Saba, Movie Morpher and Tigerzord. I'll be picking all of those up.

The purple Dricera is shit, but it's BOA so it's just making what would've been a crappy toy a little bit crappier. Either way the toy would've had no place in my collection, so I'm not bothered by it. I'll believe that there's going to be more females when I see it on shelves. I find it hard to believe well suddenly get heaps of girls at the same time as them turning Dricera purple.

I'm happy too about the ranger keys coming out in the fall though.

I agree. Reading this thread hurts my brain with the threats of boycotting and constant swearing over such a trivial thing. I can't imagine talking with someone about toys and then go on a swearing tirade over it. Crazy.

Upon a second look, I don't hate the toys. I mean yeah Dricera needs to change back into her (his/it's) uniform and get her head back in the game before the fandom issues her another citation, but I can live with it. If it does what I hope it does and still has sounds, it'll be alright. Anyway I could live with this line. Excluding the horrible zyudenchi. They just don't look right.

I don't care that much for the JDF worship part of the line though. And it's awesome that they are releasing the fem/extra rangers. It does suspiciously smell like game devs method of sales though.

The point really isn't "Bandai changed muh toys! Noooo!". It's that Bandai is telling us through this little stunt that they think the color pink is girly and so detrimental to sales that they're willing to cut it out of a single arm that's about 4 times smaller than the giant robotic T-Rex in the same box.

Signed up to be able to respond to this. I think people need to CALM DOWN for a minute about Miss Purple Dricera.

1) We've got more than a few examples of 1st display toys that didn't match the final product.
2) There is a pink battery with a Triceratops on it IN THE SAME CASE. They took the numbers off, so they could have changed the color too. They didn't.
3) The Super Mega Sub is PINK. It's VERY visible. So this would be a rather drastic change from last year.
4) I heard the rep at the case said something about Bandai saying it's purple because it's a boy's color, but seriously, how many cases do we have of reps at events not having the first clue what they were talking about?
5) This is still a show that adapts Sentai footage. Dricera in the show is Pink. They'd have to either do some painstaking editing or re-shooting to make Dricera purple. So we either have a toy that doesn't match the show, or this will change.

In the end, this will all turn out to be some sort of mix-up, or early production model. Or, at strangest, maybe they (somehow?) switch the place of Violet and Pink, saving Pink for later and changing Plezuon's color?

But seriously people, take a BREATH. It's Comic Con. It's the first time we have EVER seen the zords. There is lots of time for changes even if this is their insane idea right now.

EDIT - I don't see Kanzen GokaiOh or Kyoryuzin. I DO see the Q-Rex Megazord and the...whatever they are going to call the AMERICAN version of Kanzen GokaiOh.

You realize Kyoryuzin translate to Dinosaur God? I'd rather call something Dino Charge Megazord than Dinosaur God. Gokai-Oh translates to Heroic King. Even Kyoryuger is Dinosaur Man or Dinosaur Ranger. Zyuden itself translates to "Beast Electricity" which is close to "Dino Charge."

I have all of the original Thunderzords and Serpenterra but I'm all for buying show accurate new ones. If they give me a brand new Thunder Megazord I will be very happy.

Now if Bandai would to finish the DaiRanger Figuarts, I would be extremely happy to the max.

I wish that Dricera was pink. It looks much better as pink, but are we 100% certain that BoA changed colors of it because they're trying to sell it to boys, or is that just speculation?

I'm not defending them, I'm just saying that there is a Violet Ranger in the show that is a female. That and we have no idea how the story is going to be laid out. Remember, we don't even have an idea of who exactly is going to be highlighted as the villains.

All I'm saying is that while it is a bad decision to switch Dricera's colors, were judging them based on what we know so far/think.

The Legacy stuff looks pretty spot on. Very cool too. I'm happy about most of the Dino Charge stuff as well. They kept the look of the morpher which pleases me. Now just have to wait and see to what extent is the electronics contained within.

So why is GokaiPink's mech still pink? And why... wait... they changed a Shogun zord to pink and now they change a pink zord to blue? That just don't make any sense.

NEED that White Ranger morpher. I'm for as much movie stuff as possible. Kinda disappointed they didn't have the figures on show (yet...I hope).

Legacy Tigerzord and Saba look great too. Will need to factor those into the budget somehow.

Dricera being purple is a marketing decision that a $35 boys toy targeted at boys wouldn't sell well if it had a pink arm. Honestly I can't blame them for that decision.

It wouldn't be the first time the pink ranger was given a zord of a different colour for that reason.

Well... frak... I was really hoping I was done with PR. The Tigerzord, movie morpher, and especially Saba are going to be really tempting. Though I have a feeling the cost of all three could help supress that... maybe. Really depends on how I'm doing financially when these get released. Hopefully they wait till 2016 to do the other Thunderzords, as those are going to be tempting as well.

I take it that two foot tall Megazord never got the green-light. Also, has there been any talk of doing a replica of their bladeblaster things?
Where are you seeing a price for it?

Well, for pink Dricera purists yall have two options:
1. Internet
2. Korea where they are currently selling Kyoryuger toys with localized sound
