Another great episode, but excuse my rant here for a second as these constant break interruptions between episodes are getting very annoying. Why couldn't they choose to do these crossovers and breaks during a non-story driven Kamen Rider series? I don't want to wait until next week for the next episode as this show has already had enough stalls. JUST FINISH THE GOD DAMN SERIES ALREADY!!!! Take your stupid breaks before Drive premiers.
Anyway, with that out of the way, I'm going to laugh if Micchy's visions of insanity are actually caused by Takatora doing something to the belt before he was blown into the water. Maybe he attached something to it that is projecting himself through a holographic camera as he makes it seem like Bicchy is insane. |
Can you really blame this particular break on the series, though? This time it's actually not the writer's/director's/whoever's fault that the plot has to wait an extra week, since they don't control the baseball league's schedule.

The craziest thing about Micchy is that he thinks Mai is of any value at all, she really is the Daisy of Gaim. In many ways she even outshines Daisy when it comes to vapid selfishness and that is impressive.
I woulda kinda like to see a big budget, three hour adaptation of Gaim - or a comic book adaptation - or an anime or SOMETHING at some point. It has a really great story, and set of characters, but its ideas are often much larger than its budget and I'd like to see some of the higher concept stuff realised some day. Ultimately though, with what we got, I found this pretty underwhelming. |

As Power said, a lot of KRs could work well as a big budgeted film epic. Gaim for sure is one and I'd say something like Ryuki, Blade, Kabuto, and Agito could work in that format as well. |

I dunno, I just think Gaim feels especially cheap and clunky compared to a lot of Rider. I'd say the only show worse off was Blade, but at least Blade had really good physical combat. If you could provide the physical side of Blade with the light show of Gaim it's be SWEET. |

Not so sure on the cheap aspect but it is a bit clunky. A movie could probably streamline the story a bit more and present it as a nice compact package. Plus as you said, the bigger budget could help it. A lot of the movies look really good from a quality and shooting perspective. |

Also shout out to Bigby. Fuckin' sweet! Quote:
It sucks because his fixation on Mai is kind of the driving point, so with her so useless (oh boy I sure do love female characters that exist merely as props for the male characters) he seems utterly unsympathetic in every way. |

The only positive I can say about Mai is at least she doesn't just sit in the background and do nothing like Koyomi. She may be useless, but she is active in her uselessness.
|
She dances...that's about it. Unless we're counting that as providing morale for the troops I wouldn't say plays an active role in anything.
|
Let's not insult actual dancers by calling what she does "dancing."

I think Mai is cute.

At least Mai doesn't annoy the shit out of me. Like another token girl from a very dark Kamen Rider series

Great episode featuring most of the cast fighting. I loved Knuckle Watermelon Arms that was badass. Also I hope Gridon and Bravo live through those Inves hoards. Still Micchy wasn't as bad this episode he's become better as a villain and Ryouma is still a scheming bastard I don't trust.

It'd figure that Ryouma's Lemon Energy would have special add ons, he definitely likes keeping the good stuff for himself. Overall plenty of good fights going on this episode.

So, shouldn't the thread for the next episode be up now? It's coming out in 2 days.
