I wonder if they'll translate "ONORE" as "Damn."
Because if you just go by how it's used, ONORE means any general unpleasant reaction: Curses! Darn! Dang! |

How much more official do they need? Do they need to be slapped in the face with the actual discs? They just lost some of my respect (not that they have much to begin with) as all work should be stopped. If something falls through THEN they can go back to working on it. |

Plus, I would rather they did translate Oniichan to brother. |

Go buy them DVDs! |
I hope the don't translate EVERY word to English. Daizyujin is the name of the Giant Robot, please don't call him Great Beast God every time he's brought up. Mention it in his first Gattai as a footnote and then never speak of it again.

Well at least sub groups can still do Kamen Rider. Of more Sentai continue.

I wonder if Shout! will give the DVD a English title name on the DVD set like "Dinosaur Squadron Beast Ranger"? English titles seem to be easier for the casual person in the US. |
I'm of two minds on this.
On one hand: Hell yes! I'm all for officially subbed Sentai! Plus, it's not a bad series to start with. On the other hand: I remember their Transformers anime subs being of questionable quality. Depending on quality I may be hesitant to buy, but I will get this if I can. |

I forgot to mention this earlier, but it's nice to finally have confirmation that Mystic Knights has legal issues. |
Shout! subs can be a bit iffy sometimes. I do hope for good subs.

I'd love official DVD releases, I just hope it means we can still get episodes of the currently airing show each week, I don't want to have to wait until months after the show is finished airing to be able to watch it

Well it seems like someone was not happy with the news and guis closing its download links down for the subs, decided to put the whole pack of zuyranger by GUIS over at nyaa...
|
Why are fansubbers all butthurt about this? This is a good thing.

On that note, what are the odds of them releasing ZyuRanger onto the Blu-Ray format? Hell, I'm surprised that companies still make DVD's at all. |

This does remind me back in the early 2000's when Anime Labs had to get rid of their DBZ fan subs because Funimation got the rights to the rest of the DBZ series. Fans got mad about it and would even refuse to pay for official releases.

Wait, so we're getting legit subs with good quality picture of Zyuranger and fans are crying afoul because they want their fan subs more?! People in general are some of the stupidest things on the planet. This one show isn't going to break fan sub groups throughout the world. For every show that goes official, three more shows will take it's place that'll need subbing, so it ain't taking their day job. Man, some people.
I'm seeing a lot of "hopefully we get Dairanger next." What could warrant that? White Ranger? The Thunder Zords?? I mean, I'd love to get Dairanger officially released and subbed but I can't help to think that'd be a hard sell. I see it selling in department stores and just sitting there cuz no one would hardly know what it is. I remember showing pics of the Dairangers to friends a long time ago and they all thought they looked like cheap knock-offs.... |
I guess the DVD cover will say "The show that was adapted into Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" to help sell the DVD. Other wise, I think most people would think it's some cheap Japanese knock off.

I think the Zyuranger suits are recognizable enough to sell pretty well. MMPR usually gets pointed out by anyone who sees anything related to Sentai. I lost count how many of my friends saw Gokaiger stuff at my house and called it MMPR. They're kinda losers like that, hahaha.

Even so, it took them til 2009 to have a complete release that was unedited and subbed without any weird ass cropping. |
