Exactly! Shinboumaru folds up and sits down in it's chest. Think of it like the way Gaim uses Suika Arms.

Looks good! I especially like how the red mech is sitting inside the combined form like a pilot.

I think it should be "Shinobi Maru." That seems like the obvious translation.

That would be a fair bit more interesting than the lazy transformation folds I was imagining.

I like the overall design of what we've seen so far, but I just don't think the torso looks very good. It just looks like a robot is just sitting there, like its a chair.

That seems to be the intention though. The Robot itself is likely supposed to resemble a giant throne and the smaller one is sitting in it.

I love it. I just hope this means Shinobi Maru and the other mecha will have some good solo fight sequences as well as just jumping straight to combining.

I wonder if that might be symbolic to the story at all. Maybe Akaninjer is a prince or Lord like Takeru from "Shinkenger."

Whoever writes the show could take that as an inspiration.

True. I'm just worried about how far the legs will stick out, and if that will break the designs "flow".

If they pull the whole lord/prince thing with Aka that's fine. But he better not wind up being a vapidly lifeless shell like Takeru was. I want a character with personality. Like maybe they're dedicated to him being their lord and he just doesn't care and wants to have fun.

I would like a different portrayal of a lord or prince in sentai. But I will argue you down about Takeru, Den-O...he is my favorite red senshi lol.

But I want something different for the red. Maybe what Den-O said or maybe he is royalty, but has to prove his worth by defeating the yokai while his family is incapacitated or something.

I know our favorite 2chan artist has pretty much given up as of ToQger. When he was wrong about Build Dai Oh being a giant purple dragon with a drill tail, I couldn't blame him. With his "leaked" interpretations of various sentai designs gone, a new one has taken his place. Based on the info and half images we've seen so far, this is most likely accurate.

Well apparently from what I read the shuriken become different helmets for the mechs. So maybe when you put on a certain shuriken it activates a new noise.

That's correct actually. The initial info we were given several days ago confirmed the SHuriken/helmet gimmick. Just awaiting some clear images of what the alternate helmet combos look like.

I really like what I´m seeing there.

Nice blurry image they dropped for us westerners. The front of Shurikenjin looks bulky, much like the back of Kyoryujin. I can't really see much else, except the shurikens at the top and the changer in the box. Hopefully we can get an idea of how large the changer toy is. Really don't want another dinky BoJ sword.

EDIT: What I thought was the changer was pink's train mech. My bad.

Not too bad looking from what I can make out with the images. Interesting choice to have the Dump form a giant box/throne for the chest, and there seem to be different combinations depending on what shuriken is used, though I guess that could just be for blue lol

I imagine it wouldn't be too hard for them to allow all the the limbs to act as chest pieces to match the shurikens used, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

....... im sold, need to start putting away money for this mecha line, I know they will do gashapon/candy toy shuriken, so i wont have to buy EVERY toy in the line to get the shuriken..... That being said, i want clear images now of everything for the first part of the show... BRING ON NININJER ALREADY!
