Sony's conference was pretty good, FFVII isn't my favorite FF but it's still a really cool announcement. No Man's Sky was easily the highlight for me though, I've been really interested in that since its announcement last year and it looks great.
Don't have much to say about Microsoft, I didn't really care about anything they showed or talked about. The other big highlight for me so far was Doom 4, it looks like it fixes most of the issues I had with Doom 3 and seems to be going for a more fast-paced style closer to Doom 1 and 2, which is great. I'm also looking forward to Dishonored 2. It's also nice get a Mass Effect 4 title and release window, but I would have liked to see some gameplay. Pre-rendered trailers just don't get me excited at all. For that same reason, I'm only mildly more interested in Dark Souls 3, I'll care more when we actually see the game. Hopefully Nintendo will have some good stuff today, besides Starfox I'd like to see some more on Zelda (Unlikely as that is) and some kind of new Paper Mario news. |
Did anybody else notice that all of Sony's stuff is coming starting in 2016? No big holiday game surprisingly. Which I think Xbox and Nintendo have the edge over unless Sony pulls out something huge on one of thier livestreams or something

The vast majority of what Sony showed included gameplay. Horizon blew me away. I got to learn about its unique and interesting story. The gameplay looked innovative and new, which is what I had been waiting all day to see. It put everything everyone else showed off throughout the day to shame. However, Sony didn't win, and MS didn't win. The true winners from both conferences are the gamers because they have been shown a nice array of games that will please everyone. Quote:
Square needs to show off Deus Ex gameplay and announce a new Legacy of Kain game. Quote:

2016 is going to be a huge year for 8th gen games. I always dislike how people bitch about the PS4 and XO for not having enough games when the PS3 and 360 had a slow start too. PS4 and XO are only a year and half old.
|
I wasn't interested in anything this year to be fairly honest, Halo 5 gameplay is still Eh to Meh... The story though looks interesting though. FF7 remake seems cool, my brother is over hyped for that one wasn't a big FF7 since I was more of a X/X-2 and XIII series guy myself.
AC Syndicate is alrighty but It stool looks like that new combat system is slightly slughish from all the E3 footage, hope it looks smoother when it comes closer to launch. I don't play Destiny, but the new DLC expansion looks really neat and different. |
The big things announced I really got excited about so far were Fallout 4 and Shenmue 3.
Everything else was either on a platform I dont own or just a bunch of games that I dont find interesting at all. |
Starfox 0! THE HYPE IS REAL!!
|
Holy cow they combined Skylanders and Amiibo! Bowser and DK so far were revealed.

Nintendo is now pimping out Yokai Watch in their presser, it's official........Yokai Watch is taking over Japan AND is now aiming for global domination, watch out Pokemon
|
It might not be a proper Metroid game but at least that BlastBall stuff looks fun.
|
Well fuck you too Nintendo.
|
I was left completely speechless when i saw the Mario and Luigi/Paper mario crossover. :lol I'm buying that day one!
|
Well this was a big pile of disappointment. But we get new Amiibos, hurray!
Goddammit Nintendo. |

I liked the little Muppet-show for what it's worth. But man I would be fucking pissed if I had a WiiU at home right now. |
Nintendo's E3 presser summary = Super Mario 30th anniversary (Mario Maker) and Star Fox
No Zelda on Wii-U, nothing else |
I think Nintendo's presentation was good.
|
Xenoblade X Finally has a release date.
It might be time for me to get a Wii U.... |
While not Bad, I felt Nintendo's presentation was kinda underwhelming.
|
Mario Maker was interesting, but it isn't something that is a "MUST-BUY" unless you're a hardcore Mario modder.
Outside of StarFox Zero, Nintendo really had nothing in general for E3. Individual other games may be interesting for a few gamers here and there, but nothing that made the gaming community go "OH SHIIITTT, NINTENDO REKT IT" |
I thought that was a pretty weak showing from Nintendo unfortunately. There was barely anything actually new, mostly just release dates for everything they announced either last E3 or through various Directs throughout the year. Some of the new 3DS stuff looked okay, but nothing that really stood out at as a major new release. The whole presentation felt more like just another push at jamming Amiibos into everything at any possible opportunity.

I'll be getting most of the stuff announced here.
Mario and Luigi PaperJam, Hyrule Warrior 3D and that Animal Crossing fortune street game are day one buys for me. |
Nothing mind blowing.
Metroid game wasn't what I was wanting. No F-Zero. SMTxFE still looks godawful. Yokai Watch looks okay. Mario Maker is still Mario Maker. Aside from the Zelda Triforce game, there wasn't anything really "New" to me. Just release dates and nothing that interested me. |
Only just started the conference because I was at work, but man Star Fox Zero looks disappointingly bland.

The lack of a Zelda Wii-U release or a new Pokemon game says it, they're basically ready to go all-in on the "NX" console now |
You know, there are two games that were shown that had Wii fit trainer amiibo compatibility, so i hope to Arceus that her Restock is actually plentiful.

I'm really more concerned about every system getting something fun to play. Watching Square Enix, FF7 is pretty much PS4, PC, and iOS. That's totally fine by me.
I used to have a Playstation, and am glad they're remaking it. Just personally not high on my list. Just another remake. Course saying that, I do like Star Wars:Battlefront and how that looked. :P All in all, a good E3 for everyone. Lots of games announced, dates and gameplay shown, and tech demo'd. |

Holy....shit... Words cannot describe what I'm feeling right now. The graphics were utterly astonishing! The changing weaponry!!! I could play this game once and die happy. Nuff said. |
0_0 about time! I've been waiting for KH3 for so long its insane. Now to save up and buy a PS4 so I can play it
|
Was that a Tangled world? Sweet. :D
|
Is it bad that I'm actually excited for Metroid Prime: Fed force?
Cause I kinda am |
...So what happened to "we'll have new 3rd party support for the Wii U" Nintendo?
|

I think it looks fun. |

I don't know why Nintendo is pushing Super Mario Maker so hard though. I get that it's a limitless world of possibility, but a tool to create shouldn't be your heavy hitter. Quote:
