Well I missed something quite big, that new form looks amazing and more rider 1 stuff is pretty good as well.
|
Don't worry.
Hiroshi Fujioka will be helping Toshiki Inoue to write Kamen Rider 1 movie Come on! He will make sure Inoue doesn't screw up the film! That's called Co-Writers |

Currently he is known to write good porn game anime adaptations. |

Toshiki Inoue writing for this movie hearing this made me very happy. Also glad it someone who work on both seasons of akibaranger another show I'm a fan of. I have high hope that this movie will be a good one.

Toshiki Inoue...dammit, this now has a 90% chance of sucking. He's already written a Rider 1 movie. It's called The First and it sucked. Don't misunderstand, I will defend The First's bike stunts as some of the coolest I've seen, but that credit goes to Sakamoto. What Toshiki Inoue contributed to the movie was putting Rider 1 and 2 into a forced love triangle and a villain sub plot for the mini-bosses falling in love that's so unrelated that if you cut it off from the movie you would have a hospital drama.
I miss 90's Toshiki Inoue. |

He will make sure Inoue doesn't screw up the spring film Hiroshi might be smarter than Inoue in term of story |
So, is anyone else gonna be in this or is it just "Ghost finds out how awesome rider 1 is: the movie"? XD
|
Fujioka was involved in the story planning though, so Inoue won't be just making up the story by himself, unlike what happened with The First and a lot of his later works.

This is just Part 1 of the Super Hero Year project though, so there could be a crossover movie later, maybe taking the spot of the Ghost summer movie. |
still hoping go ranger get a simular treatment

http://i.imgur.com/SGcMR9Y.jpg For Kamen Rider 1 it is fine since Fujioka is a big macho dude and all but I hope Goranger redesigns contrast this if they ever decide to. Quote:
He probably is more of a consultant so that Inoue does not go off on extreme tangents when he writes the story. |

At least Nova Shocker have a different motivation than Shocker's typical world domination
They only want World's Economy which means Money?! So why would Nova Shocker waste their time on Tachibana's granddaughter when they could rob the bank Thank god Shoji Yonemura isn't writing this movie! NO MORE POINTLESS HEROES VS HEROES!!!!!!!! I bet Hiroshi Fujioka dislike Heisei Rider VS Showa Rider and he might be the one who chose Toshiki Inoue over Shoji Yonemura! Believe that! |

I would like that a lot over the usual clusterf* of Riders that is Kamen Rider Taisen featuring 1 random minute of Super Sentai. Of course they could very easily add an end-fight with all the Riders and add the Zyuohgers, but I hope they don’t. Sentai gets its own anniversary movie after all, and we don’t really need another big Rider battle. |
I am hopeful that they do keep the Rider count to a minimum. Wouldn't mind if Nigou popped in, but based on the premise it does seem doubtful (and without a returning actor, maybe pointless). I mean. I could even do without the supporting Ghost cast. I don't need any more than my recommended daily intake of Onari, and my recommended daily intake of Onari is no Onari.
Necrom also hasn't been shown. Which I guess is good, because we don't need too many plotlines. Contractual obligations may result in him popping in for a minute pointlessly like Chaser in GP, on the other hand, I dunno. As far as Sentai goes, I think they should keep it out of the movie for the most part, but I wouldn't mind some cameos at the end to hint towards future projects. Especially if the "Super Hero Year" projects for both series end up intertwining towards the end. |
I wouldn’t mind cameos if they are just that: Cameos. Like the Zyuohgers walking past the Riders in their human form. That would be cool.
Popping in with your giant mecha for one minute is terribly forced though. |
As if I wasn't sold on this enough already, Nao Nagasawa is playing one of the Nova Shocker leaders? I'm practically giddy. (I am giddy. :D)
|
So apparently Legend Rider Damashii may be appearing in this movie.
That's...cool? I mean, it's cool. Still hoping the Ghost parts are strictly secondary but eh, I like the Rider Damashii. I'm hoping this means there's a chance that some of the pre-Double Damashii may also make an appearance outside of Ganbarizing. That'd be cool. And considering the Mysterious 45th Eyecon, we know Takeru's probably gonna get SOMETHING new anyway. May as well make it something new anyway & friends. |

Pretty interesting. For one, it does seem like the movie focuses on Rider 1. Second, at the end of the trailer Mayu cries over Takeshi, we see a scene where he's holding his chest in pain and if the crappy understandings of Japanese I acquired through watching Toku are to be believed the voice at the end says: "Hongo Takeshe saigo no henshin" Which would mean this is Takeshi Hongo's very last transformation. I actually thought about this when they announced the movie, but Hiroshi Fujioka isn’t getting any younger and the 40th anniversary would be the ideal time to say thank you and goodbye. Of course Rider 1 would still appear like he appeared in every Taisen movie, but this could be the last time we see Fujioka as Takeshi Hongo. Or it's just marketing crap and it's all fake drama. |

I still don't know how to feel about this movie. I think if Shocker wasn't so tiring to see thanks to so many post Decade movies, and Hongo's return two years ago didn't happen, I'd be a lot more hype.
I'm still interested in the movie, but I'm not foaming at the mouth in excitement. The new suit is...Growing on me, I guess? I still much prefer Shin Ichigou, though. |
I'm a fan of the new look for his suit but for certain reasons.
I feel that the original design of the Kamen Rider suits were meant to reflect that they were a part of the wearer's body. After all, Shocker re-engineered normal people to be brainwashed, powerful super humans. I always felt that the original suits were designed to not just augment the human body but to adapt to the weakness of the individual's body. Hongo was the very first Kamen Rider, we all know that. I'm pointing this out because he is literally the very first veteran because of this. When he first started out fighting as a Kamen Rider, he was as young and energetic as the recent Riders we have today. However now he is old. When he was young, I feel the suit reflected that. He was faster, stronger, reckless. Hongo also healed faster as younger human beings do. The Kamen Rider suit reflected that. It protected the most vital areas that no amount of healing could fix. It still protected the rest of the body as well but with far less intensity. The arms and legs could heal with time. The suit made him faster, stronger, increased his reflexes, and made his body more durable while ensuring that he was as protected as he needed to be. Hongo is now the oldest of the bunch. He's not the lively young man anymore. Like most elders, he's fragile now. His bones are far more susceptible to breakage, his heart is weaker (as shown in the trailer itself since it shows that he may have cardiac issues), his strength is gone as is the speed youth gives. The Kamen Rider suit looks to have adapted to that. The suit now protects far more of his body because Hongo can't take nearly as many blows as he could years ago. It maintains the strength he had when he first started fighting against Shocker so long ago. Hongo isn't as fast as he used to be, with or without the Kamen Rider suit. When transformed, he definitely is faster but the additional armored points reduce his movement. Not only that but because he's more fragile, his attacks have to be more focused, powerful and have far less room for error. He can't take that risk anymore. One mess up can be detrimental to him. The suit reflects that. He's strong, fast but slow, more armored up. His attacks are focused. His Rider form is of a seasoned veteran who isn't who he used to be. It's the form of a respected elder thrown back into a young man's fight. |

Damn, Hiroshi is looking pretty god still in the suit.
|
I'm'a give it a shot. Yeah some of the aspects of it look goofy but if you've got an aversion to goofy and are trying to do toku you might need to re-think your life.
